Summary: Yvonne and Norris are the most accommodating of owners. The added benenefit of availability of Apa Yoga instruction and Ayurvedic physician consult and treatment is a welcome bonus. Highly recommend.

Summary: This was our 4 th visit to Fern lodge. It remains an excellent place to stay. Its a haven for birds in the beautiful garden . So tranquil and relaxing.Our hosts Yvonne and Norris are superb hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Lovely comfy bed ,bed linen and bath and beach towels supplied, changed very frequently. Washing machine available . Yvonne gives an occasional Sitar concert in the garden. Very good it is too.Norris also provides an excellent Taxi service. We recommend highly this property let. One not to be missed.

Summary: We really enjoyed our nearly three week stay at Fern Lodge everything was as near perfect as you could wish. Yvonne and Noris made us so welcome and looked after our every whim. Noris was a willing driver for us to take us anywhere we wanted to go at a very reasonable price . The Fern Lodge is about 3 kilometres away from the beach about 10 minutes via Noris and his careful driving a tad too far for us to walk in the heat of the day and there was no need as Noris was always willing to take us and pick us up. The room was perfect and kept clean the kitchen space was so handy to cook or prepare breakfast, store the G&Ts in the fridge or make the odd cup of coffee or tea. The supermarket was nearby and stocked all of our needs including beer and gin with gin at about £3 a bottle for the local brew very acceptable variety. We spent a lot of time lazing around the pool with friends. The atmosphere at Fern Lodge was very calm and peaceful especially with no children allowed. It was nice to speak to Anya the daughter of the house when she was not at college.With a couple of nearby restaurants within walking distance and the delights of major dan cuisine available via Noris. I nearly forgot to mention Noris's talent for cooking especially the sea food BBQ at such a good price so good we had it twice! Noris can also arrange pushbike ,scooter or car hire he was also very helpful with currency exchange as the larger value notes had been demonitised there was a shortage of cash with Noris's help we didn't have any problem unlike many people we apoke to on the beach. There is also a washing machine available for guests to use very handy and the washing quickly dried on the racks provided.Fern Lodge is very handily placed to visit Margao or Panjim. With Noris's cooking skills and a couple of local restaurants within a quick walk there was no need to eat elswhere however we did and would recommend The Pentagon Hotel in Majorda or Fiskar both which would need a booking as they are very popular Noris will do this for you.

Summary: Before we booked our 4 week holiday at Fernlodge we read all the web information and the reviews. Yvonne was on the end of an e:mail when we needed her advice. We liked the information and were pleased to find everything that was said, was in fact correct. The property is clean and modern, the setting is quiet and rural with lovely views and Yvonne, Noris and Anya are friendly and helpful. The pool area was a wonderful place to relax if you didn’t want a day out and great for sitting round when Noris cooks you an evening meal. We found that walking to the beach or the local restaurants gave us the exercise we needed and we often picked up provisions from the local sellers on the way. If you don’t want to go into the village for a meal then just up the road is a typical Goan bar/restaurant called Johnny’s which is very clean and serves excellent food, we ate there twice. Noris will also cook you some excellent meals. We were so impressed with our holiday that we booked another 4 week holiday for next year before we left. This is unusual as we don’t normally go back to the same place twice but for us Fernlodge is special.

Summary: What a wonderful holiday my wife and I had. From the moment we were picked up at the airport and throughout the holiday, we were treated like family :-) Nothing was too much trouble for Yvonne or Norris, who were always at hand to assist, give advice or just have a cup of tea with. All three apartments are situated in beautiful surroundings, with a lovely little pool to take a cooling dip. The apartments themselves offer all you will need, with full air con, large fan, small cooker and fridge. Not that you will want to do much cooking as Norris is a chef and will tempt you with some amazing food. Yvonne will arrange bikes, motor scooters or cars for you and is always at hand to offer the occasional lift or excursion. Anya, the hosts daughter is at hand to giggle and smile a lot, whilst thinking up more mischievous plans. She is also a willing hand at cards or other games.The beach is ten minutes away and is very quiet, but with good friendly shacks, serving drinks and food all day and night. There are towns and villages near by you can visit, to shop or just meet the locals. There are so many wonderful places to eat, all within easy traveling distance. All in all this is a stunning place to visit, tranquil, lazy, fun and friendly. We had a very peaceful Christmas and would love to visit again. Thanks. Ian and Tina xx

Summary: My stay at Fernlodge was amazing. Yvonne, Norris and Anya are a delightful family who take extra care in the upkeep of the property, providing local guidance and most importantly creating a feeling of welcome every day. The property is stunning, the apartment has all the amenities you'd need and Norris is an excellent cook too! I have stayed at many vacation rentals over the years and often find the places look better in the photos but at Fernlodge it is exactly as the photos appear - beautiful! I highly recommend staying here if you come to south Goa. The beaches close by are wonderful.

Summary: My wife and I stayed at Fernlodge at the beginning of our tour of India in January, we enjoyed the first class accommodation and the hospitality given to us by Yvonne, Norris and Anya so much that we made a point of returning there at the end of our tour. The villa is situated about 3 km from the beach, if you do not want to walk Yvonne or Norris will drive you there, or you can hire a pedal cycle. You also have use of small pool in the villa grounds. There is a large supermarket about 3km away or a small kiosk just around the corner for all your groceries , we opted for Norris a master chief preparing us a meal on a few occasions. If you are feeling a bit adventurous you can make your way into town which is about 10km away which involves taking the bus, or alternatively just ask Yvonne for a lift. The apartment itself has all mod con`s cooker fridge and a water purifier and the beds were very comfortable. The best place we stayed at during our ten week Indian tour.

Summary: The perfect hideaway with everything you need to enjoy this beautiful part of Goa. The apartment was fresh, clean and finished to European standards, (not often easy to find in India) and Noris, Yvonne and the lovely Anya were the perfect hosts. We spent five weeks travelling the west coast of India and Sri Lanka and Fernlodge was unequalled in quality of accommodation. We own and rent out luxury holiday apartments ourselves in South West France and are probably more critical than most clients but you couldn't ask for anything more here - truly FIVE STAR. Summary: We had 10 wonderful days with Yvonne, Norris and Anya last Christmas and are booked to return for 3 weeks this year. The location is so convenient for the beach and easy to get to main towns by bus or car. We mostly relied on our bicycles for daily trips which allowed us to enjoy local food vendors! We spent many evenings at the beach bars and enjoyed a really relaxing holiday with wonderful sunshine, food and company. Yvonne went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic time, and Anya was a perfect guide for local sightseeing trips! We would highly recommend this as a perfect holiday for those seeking out genuine Goan hospitality and a chance to experience the quiet life and cannot wait to return.
