Positive: The cottage was very quaint and had plenty of room. The location was very convenient to the high street in West Malling and the train station. The cottage had a good number of bathrooms, was very bright, had a nice garden and was a comfortable location for our vacation. This was our first trip to the UK to visit family in West Malling in nearly four years (due to the pandemic) and the location and size of the facility was perfect for our visit. The local citizens of West Malling are very friendly and the town is a really nice place to visit.

Negative: When we arrived on a Saturday the cottage had no heat or hot water and was exceptionally cold. It took us quite a while to get assistance from the management company but ultimately we did get a plumber in late on a Saturday afternoon to fix the problem and were able to warm up the cottage sufficiently to avoid having to go to a hotel. Further doors were left unlocked and it took us a day of searching to find a key. In addition we found a window had been left wide open on the lower level. Further, we learned that the cottage did not have free television service and we were not able to use our streaming services on the TV. This was not disclosed in the description of the cottage when we booked our stay. We had to spend time cleaning out a clogged shower drain on the day we arrived as the water would not go down the drain after we took our first shower.

Summary: Our initial reaction was very negative but overall it was a positive experience.
