Summary: Nancy is an excellent host and our family made some wonderful memories in her space. She left age-appropriate books and toys out for the kids and we truly felt at home. The covered patio was a favourite place to gather, and the kitchen was well appointed. There was something for everyone. We hope to return again soon.

Summary: This beautiful waterside property was just right for our family of five - providing a comfortable home base from which we could easily travel to San Francisco, Oakland and Palo Alto. Groceries and other necessities were conveniently obtained from stores in San Mateo. We enjoyed spending the holidays in this lovely location and would be happy to return!

Summary: Beautiful property. In addition, the owner was very responsive to my personal needs/requests. Everything met or exceeded our needs. The view and peaceful surroundings certainly exceeded my expectations. I would certainly choose this property (and owner) again if needing a property of this size in this location.

Summary: A small town feeling in a quiet neighborhood, lovely yards and flowers. A private patio, overlooking a body of water. Lovely vibrant colorful decor with plenty of seating. Clean and homey.

Summary: We booked this home for a family vacation. Before arrival, Nancy was very communicative and was quick to answer all of my questions. She even contacted me before our trip to make sure we knew how unseasonably cool the weather had been so we would not be surprised. Check in could not have been easier because of keypad entry and there were helpful notes in the house. I have to say that the pictures posted to the site do not do this home justice. We loved having two living spaces with comfy couches, plus the patio furniture. There was a lot of space for us to spread out. The yard and landscaping are very well maintained and the view of the water is gorgeous. We sat on the patio many nights, relaxing from long daytrips. The house was also easy to find and convenient to all of the places we wanted to go - San Jose, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and Palo Alto. We would love to stay again sometime!

Summary: We very much enjoyed our holiday stay in San Mateo. The house was more than comfortable and we prepared many wonderful dinners shared with our daughter visiting from Portland, and our son, daughter in law and granddaughter who live in Foster City. We even put up a real Noble Fir Christmas tree for the first time in many years. Happy New Year to everyone, Randy and Robyn R.

Summary: Loved the house and location! Easy to get to so many great hikes and also into the city. Peaceful view of water at all times made it so relaxing. Can walk to trail by San Fran Bay. Great modern kitchen and so many comfy living spaces. Nancy is so sweet too! Can't recommend this house enough!

Summary: I stayed at Nancy's house for a month and used it as a "hacker house"/startup office for me and my co-founder. Her house is everything I hoped it would be. The kitchen newly remodeled and the stove & appliances are fantastic. The master bathroom has TWO shower heads, each with its own temperature controls -- I've never seen that before! Two of the three bedrooms have sliding doors that open up to the backyard. And what a backyard this is -- it is right on the water and is simply gorgeous. The back patio has a veranda with a nice table area -- this is where my co-founder & I set up shop. All in all, I highly recommend staying here. After 30 days, I truly felt like it was my own home and I was very sad to leave.

Summary: Wow! Nancy’s house is just stunning! The backyard alone deserves the 11/10 rating, right on the lagoon, outdoor kitchen and hang out spaces. But the house is phenomenal too! Make no mistake, this is not some newly decorated soulless vacation rental, but somebody’s HOME. It’s like staying at my moms house. If my mom had a nicer house, on the water. Really fantastic experience for my family. Thank you Nancy!
