The beach and ocean view and excellent location makes this home a popular choice among families and those with mobility restrictions. The beach is at your doorstep, it's excellent location in proximity to the pool, dive shop, restaurant and activity center. Parents appreciate the flexibility to relax on the expansive deck with cold beverage in the company of the group, swaying in a hammock listening to the sounds of the surf and nature, all while the kids are in view at the beach or pool.
This Balinese style bungalow provides plenty of ceiling ventilation for fresh air, drop ceiling fans throughout, vaulted ceilings, and over-sized screened doors, for an non-obscured view, even from inside! There are convenient patio doors from the two main bedrooms, that allow you to access the deck without walking through the villa.
All bedrooms have air conditioning, which typically are not needed because there is always a lovely eastern trade breeze, as well as ceiling fans. The king master bedroom connects to the master bathroom, the queen bedroom and third bedroom share a large bathroom.
The kitchen is modern and comes equipped with everything you need to cook for your family, and on those nights you prefer to dine out, our Ixora bar and restaurant is just steps away!

Summary: The house was as advertised. However, overall seating in home was not comfortable and 2 dining table chairs didn't have any bottom support. The dogs around the property

Summary: Palmetto Bay is a wonderful place to stay! I loved the beautiful grounds of the resort in addition to the beach and dock. The restaurant and bar were very good and the staff was wonderful, especially Jan! Roatan is a special place amd Palmetto Bay was a great home base to explore it!

Summary: This was a great choice for our party of two parents and four adult kids. The house was clean and comfortable. Added bonus was the resort restaurant and bar, which was really good. The on-site dive shop took great care of us. Multiple dive sites minutes away.

Summary: The house and the property are beautiful. The surrounding Banana, Mango and Coconut trees and other vegetation made you feel like you were almost in the jungle. Very cool. All three bedrooms had A/C. The rest of the house did not. The ocean at Palmetto Bay is very weedy and not so swimable. You have to take a boat if you want to snorkel the reef. Make sure to bring bug spray. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Summary: This bungalow was amazing! It had a beautiful wraparound porch that was screened which was a luxury So that we could sit outside day and night and not get eaten alive by the mosquitoes. The house is very nice and well appointed. Our group of seven slept comfortably in the three bedrooms. Lots of space for all of us! The resort is also really nice. We really enjoyed the layout of the bar, the Cove for dining, the swimming pool and access to the beach. We also walked over to the brewery two afternoons, which is really close and has great beer, food, and ambience. If we ever come back, and we surely will, I look forward to staying here again!

Summary: Very cute roomy bungalow tons of towels and very nice decor . Better than photos. Ac only in rooms open air slats but all screened in. So very hot in main area until evening. Property and staff great , dive Center great and cove restaurant very good . Very guilt place with lots of hammocks and great for relaxation or snorkeling and diving by boat .

Summary: We had a nice day here and this Cavenagh. It was simple and reasonably priced. It was great to have the pool the restaurant in the ocean right there. It was outfitted OK with amenities but not everything was brand new the way you might expect any US properties, which is pretty common in Central American rentals. Were used to that from traveling to Costa Rica and really enjoy the place.
