Summary: We spent a family vacation in the villa and enjoyed our time very much. The hostess was very friendly and very helpful and had lots of good tips for excursions and other places to visit. The location is very quiet and the surrounding towns can be easily reached by car. The villa is clean and the garden is ideal for children. I can totally recommend a vacation there!

Summary: Our extended family (three generations) stayed for a week at the holiday house. We had a wonderful stay. It is a historic home so there are lots of quirks to remember, but all of them made sense. The kitchen and dining area have everything that you need to make meals for the entire family. The hostess Betty is delightful-- very helpful and has an entire binder of recommendations for anything you'd like to do. Her recommendations are excellent as she's hosted many families. Our kids were constantly entertained by the toys in the yard, the pool, and the adjacent playgrounds, which are so close to the property, they're essentially like part of the yard. It takes about 10-15 minutes to drive into Bellagio. The town of Barni itself is quite small and charming, not fancy but very sweet.

Summary: Fantastic property and host, Elizabetta who helped us find cycle hire and transport from the airport which were very reasonably priced. She also introduced us to Guido who prepared our breakfasts and evening meals, served at the house. The quality of the food was outstanding, we asked him to cook traditional food from the region and not only was it really tasty, it was not expensive. The house itself is great, in a quiet village only 15 mins from Bellagio. Cycling in the area is tough - very hilly but roads are quiet. We had a great few days and we would recommend this property and Elisabetta is so helpful and welcoming!

Summary: We rented the beautiful villa in Barni for a gathering of our extended family for 9 days. 11 adults and 6 children, aged between 2 and 9. The house was perfect for us: bedrooms & bathrooms strategically located and sized. Plenty of toys, small soccer field and trampoline outside: everything in great condition and safe to use. Bathrooms and Kitchen are modern, well equipped and have been recently updated. The updated public playground is 20m from the house and can be reached via a small foot path. Elisabetta has been the perfect host. "The binder" is clearly carefully curated, up to date and has allowed us to experience and enjoy the surroundings meaningfully. As an active family, there is plenty to do: a road cycling mecca, but also trail running, hiking and mtb are fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend both host and venue, and we are considering to return to Barni in the future. My best memories: spending long mornings on the large SE facing balcony, enjoying the spring sun, coffee and catching up with my siblings and parents.

Summary: The booking process was straightforward. I spent a week with my husband, our children and grandchildren. Betty our host was charming and helpful when we arrived later than expected. The house was ready for the family with toys and activities for the children. Betty gave us lots of information about the best places to go. I would definitely recommend the gelato place and Guido who delivers food is punctual and very reasonably priced and the food is delicious. The second week was with friends so quite a different sort of holiday. We enjoyed trips out to Varenna, Bellaggio and even went to Lugano in Switzerland on a day trip. The village has a lovely bakery and grocery shop where you can get everything you need. The family run bar was also frequented by my sons who loved it. I loved the villa and will definitely return I can’t fault Betty and Roberto who were both charming helpful and kind.
