Villa Santai exudes the genuine Balinese atmosphere because of the natural materials used such as hardwood, teak, stones and granite in the bathrooms and the kitchen. The entire ground floor is open, except for the bedrooms, giving you the great ‘outdoor living’ experience of the tropics.
The villa is set up very spacious and has a large tropical garden directly adjacent to the beach. It has a large, natural shaped, private swimming pool with a landscaped waterfall and a jacuzzi. Around the pool you find a spacious terrace with sun beds and a bale benong to relax. The villa has 4 tastefully furnished bedrooms, 1 family room (can be used as 5th bedroom), 4 bathrooms, a large open living area, kitchen and a roof terrace with a second bale benong from which you have a splendid view.
Villa Santai offers also some extra features: a Spa that is located beautifully in the rice fields within 2 minutes walking from the villa. You will get a complimentary welcome massage at the Spa. Also at the end of the garden, on the beach side, a unique ancient wooden boat is lying. The boat has a lovely seating area and a sun deck with sun chairs. This is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful views of the sea, and also to enjoy the sunset that is spectacular at this coast!

Villa Santai is located directly at the beach of Lovina-Beach, within 15 minutes driving from Lovina, the tourist place of the north coast of Bali.
Lovina is a small but lively village with restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, Spa's for massages and treatments, supermarkets, local markets and a bakery for fresh bread in the morning.
In and around Lovina you have a rich choice of restaurants with delicious national and international cuisines. The prices are still very low, especially in this north part of Bali.
Lovina is known for the dolphins which you can see every morning at dawn during a boat trip. Due to the large population of shrimps at this particularly coastline you will find here year round many dolphins. The boat can be surrounded by dozens of dolphins jumping and playing. If you book a trip, you can arrange to be picked up by a boat in front of the villa. In hotel Melka in Lovina you can actually swim with dolphins.
Snorkeling and Diving: The Balinese sea near Lovina offers several places for great snorkelling and diving. Because of the shallow and calm sea, you will have a good view of the tropical fish.
Certainly worthwhile is a snorkelling or diving trip to Menjangan Island (1 hour drive & 30 minutes by boat). Around the island you will find many colourful fish and coral and this snorkelling site is also very convenient for children as you can start snorkelling directly from the shore of the island. Also worthwhile is a trip to the East coast of Bali (Tulamben) to dive to the famous American war wreck U.S. Liberty.
There are a number of PADI diving schools in Lovina, including a 5 star PADI school called Bali Spice Dive and the well-known school Blue Season Bali Diving at the Zen Resort in Seririt. If you book a snorkelling- or diving trips with one of these schools, they will pick you up at the villa.

Summary: Property is beautiful and outstanding, even better than the photos portrayed. Incredibly relaxing ambiance. The staff have a 24/7 sunny disposition. Ketut and Iluh, in particular, treated us like family and it became our home for 12 days. So many happy memories.

Summary: We enjoyed a week at Villa Santai and highly recommend to anyone seeking peace & privacy away from the tourist crowds. The Villa is on the beach and has a lovely garden setting with a large pool, spa & waterfall. We were looked after by Iluh and her food surpassed all the meals we had in Lovina town. Lovina is a 10 minute drive away which suited us fine. We were a couple but the villa is big and can cater for 10 people.

Summary: Such a beautiful place to stay. Everything was well maintained. Just be aware that it is a long windy road to the north. If you get motion sickness, make sure you take meds for motion sickness. The highlight of the stay was the staff. Especially Ms. Ketut. She was amazing. Even when some of us got sick, Ms. Ketut took care of us. Anything we needed, she got it done. Thank you Mr. Ketut for arranging everything. I recommend you bring Imodium AD for stomach issues and tons of insect repellant. If you like to snorkel, I recommend you bring your own gear. Overall we had a great stay. I will definitely be coming back.

Summary: We booked this Villa with the intent of a relaxing and peaceful getaway and it delivered 100% The villa itself was perfect for our 3 generation family with lots of bedrooms with aircon and a big open plan dining room. The gardens and pool were beautiful. The Villa exceeded our expectations. The highlights were definitely the staff that work here, taking care of everything for us with big friendly smiles everyday they made us feel so welcome and special. Summary: This place was wonderful. We were 10 persons living in this villa during Christmas. It was enough of space for all of us and the bedrooms were better then we expected from the pictures. Ketut and Ilun cleaned the house for us and cocked our food every day that we liked, they also arranged different trips for us. They were always helpful to make our stay confortable. We really appreciated the garden and the beautiful areas were we could hang around. The pool was great with a small waterfall that makes it more than just a pool. It was the perfect place for a big family to relax and we give this place our warmest recommendations. // Swedish family

Summary: Thank you Ketut! The place is amazing! You are a great host ! Incredible view of the Bali Sea . Laying in bed listening to the waves crashing makes this location very special. The GARDNER’s Komang and Kadek , did a terrific job with the yard work . The Grounds are beautiful. This was a friend getaway and to also celebrate two of our birthdays. We went out to dinner twice and regretted it . Iluh is amazing cook! The dishes she prepared where five star . We couldn’t get enough of her smoothies and fresh fruit platters and her traditional foods of the region . The staff decorated are room for our birthdays. Everyone went above and beyond. Thank you for a unforgettable stay .
