Positive: I rely on reviews for my bookings, including this one, which had only a few reviews when I made the booking, so I wanted to add more detail to help you make an informed choice. 1. Location - we were in an amazing location in El Carmen. We could walk to great restaurants, grocery stores, most major attractions, and the tram to head to the beach. 2. The unit is new, well-appointed, and clean. It had lots of extra amenities like snacks, oranges, water, and more. It also had modern led lighting that you could dim and great blackout blinds built into the windows. One thing we liked is that there is a gated entrance and then a massive bank safe style door to enter the unit - it felt very safe. 3. Alejandro the host - very kind and caring. He walks you through the unit and had great recommendations. He is attentive and genuinely cares about your stay.

Negative: Note these were issues we brought up with Alejandro to try to address but was unsuccessful and hence our rating: 1. Humidity and heat - the air conditioner is grossly underpowered - our single biggest issue. The temperature and humidity were too high, especially as the day went on. You couldn’t escape the heat of the summer when you returned to the property, and we could not sleep as we were too hot. We were tired each day from having a terrible sleep, which had an impact on our vacation. It was so bad that I wanted to leave, but I couldn't find another suitable property so late in the high season. We asked for fans, and Alejandro brought us two immediately. 2. The bugs - as soon as I went into the primary bedroom, I thought I saw a mouse moving behind the curtain. It ended up being a big, New York style cockroach. We found a few cockroaches, and when you check in, they explain there are bugs and show you where a big can of bug spray is located. We did have bugs, but the cockroaches were the most disturbing - he told us they spray for them on a regular basis. 3. A lesser issue, but both showers flood over, so we spent time mopping up water and learned to pause the shower head mid shower to prevent this, which was not ideal. Protips: -We found that laundry wouldn't dry from the humidity in the unit, so we put the drying rack outside of the exterior door to dry in the heat, which worked incredibly well. -Wifi - the guest wifi is terrible, 1-2mb, ask to be added to MOVIESTAR_DAC, which had 100-300MB connection.

Positive: We had such a great stay here! The host was super friendly and easy to reach via WhatsApp. The apartment had everything I could possibly need: soap, shampoo, coffee, tea, water, biscuits, oranges and more... It was spotless, spacious, and very nicely designed. I picked this place because I was traveling with my parents, who aren't exactly mountain goats when it comes to mobility. This apartment was perfect! No stairs, walk-in showers, airco in the bedrooms, and all on one level. Also, location couldn’t be better. City center, bars, taxis, restaurants. Everything just a few minutes’ stroll away.

Negative: If we’re nitpicking… No balcony and no big window to people-watch. Just a couple of small windows you can crack open. But I knew that upfront. Did I miss the sunlight whilst being indoor? A little. But on the flip side the place stayed nice and cool, it was quiet despite its central location and no people staring in after drinking cocktails acros the street. For a few days? Totally worth the trade-off.

Positive: There're so many things to praise: - Our host, Alejando, was really helpful, allowed us early check-in, prepared coffee, bottled water and breakfast for a few days, gave us suggestions about Valencia - really exceptional hospitality! - Apartment is huge, well organized and equipped with everything you need, even for a longer stay (a week). - There were a baby cot and a feeding chair which were super useful for us! - Everything in the apartment is brand new, and everything was superbly clean when we arrived. - There are 2 full-sized bathrooms which is pretty convenient. - Apartment is easily accessible - there is a direct entrance from the street, but it's still very safe and quiet. - Great neighborhood - a lot of coffee shops and restaurants around. The whole city center is just a few minutes of walk away.

Negative: We were aware that this is a ground-floor apartment, so it doesn't have a lot of natural light, but even this trade-off was worth it due to the apartment's accessibility, especially for a family with multiple suitcases and baby strollers.

Positive: This is a truly exceptional place to stay. The apartment is spacious - there were three of us, and the space worked perfectly for our needs - and comfortable, as well as being super clean and very well equipped: besides the usual hairdryer, kettle, it also has a Nespresso machine and even a citrus juicer. The beds were very comfortable and, despite its central location, the apartment was quiet at night, so we always had a great night’s sleep. Alejandro, our host was lovely, and he left us generous supplies: coffee capsules, oranges, milk, bread, jam, etc - this was highly appreciated. Communication with Alejandro was also smooth and fast. He was always available for any questions. gave us great recommendations and made us feel very welcome. Check-in and check-out were easy and flexible. The location is perfect, right in the heart of El Carmen district in the historic center - you can literally walk everywhere to see the sights, but there are also bus stops nearby if you want to go to the beach.
