Positive: What a wonderful hotel in a beautiful place. Literally a few minutes walk to the rain forest reserve. The views from the hotel were breathtaking. The staff were so helpful and charming. I can’t recommend this more highly.

Positive: Absolutely fantastic. Excellent location just a few steps from the park entrance. We booked the room upstairs and it had wonderful views. The property itself is really clean and very well maintained. The owner is incredibly kind and arranged all kind of services for us. He is really a nice guy and speaks very good English. All the staff was helpful and kind. We regret we stayed one night only. The place and the area deserves definitely more days to enjoy.
Negative: To be honest we weren't too pleased with the guide. He seemed young, inexperienced and not very knowledgeable. But this was a minor issue as the walk was beautiful despite the rain. Also i must admit we booked a last minute tour so that may be the reason.

Positive: Beautiful location and beautiful room. The owner was courteous and charming. Ready with a welcome drink. The room was simply stunning, beautiful linen, comfortable bed with great AC and WiFi. A lovely large balcony overlooking the river and forest. This place is a bird watchers dream!! We had a guided forest walk with a knowledgeable guide and swim option at the end. The following morning we got up at 6.30 and had a guided birdwatching walk both around the property and in the forest. We were rewarded with amazing views of the Blue Magpie. A great morning. We had a lovely meal at the property and an outstanding breakfast. Do yourself a favour and stay here for an amazing experience from start to finish!!

Positive: Saman is an excellent host, and together with his team he did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Their hospitality and dedication really stood out. The rooms are large, very clean, and beautifully maintained. Both the bathroom and the view from the room are real highlights and add a lot to the overall experience. The food was excellent throughout our stay. When we arrived, Kavishka, the chef, was testing a new burger bun, so we decided to try the chicken sandwich (submarine), which turned out to be very tasty. One of the highlights of our stay was the 3-hour guided nature walk with Dumidu. He was extremely dedicated and knowledgeable and tried his very best to show us as many animals as possible, which worked out very well. He explained that on the 6-hour and full-day tours, besides wildlife sightings, the experience increasingly includes waterfalls and longer hikes. This is ideal for guests who enjoy extended walks and waterfall experiences. Our personal focus, however, was on wildlife spotting, which made the 3-hour tour ideal for us. The location is another strong point, as the accommodation is only around 2 minutes from the park entrance, allowing quick and easy access to the rainforest. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and the 3-hour hike with Dumidu and would gladly return.
