Positive: The room and the balcony are fantastic, much much nicer than in the pictures! It completely exceeded our expectations. Definitely go for a hike in the rainforest with the host (professional guide) and you will see many snakes, lizards, insects, birds, etc.

Positive: Nice big glasses wall offers beautiful view to the river and jungle, where a peacock could be seen every day :-) Everything clean. Above-standard bathroom by Sri Lankan standards. Enough powerfull AC Good food adapted to my allergies.

Negative: There are gaps at the top and bottom of big glasses doors that allow insects to get in. The sounds from the neighboring house were very audible in my room. (I travel alone and am more sensitive to noise; this probably wouldn't bother families with children.)

Positive: Kasun and his family were exceptional hosts. We stayed here three nights of our trip in Sri Lanka and it was by far the best part of our stay. The villa is such a peaceful little spot overlooking the river. We could wake up and watch the birds and monitor lizards, or chill in the evening listening to the wildlife. Kasun’s wife cooked delicious breakfasts and dinners for us, and they all made us feel very at home. We enjoyed a night time safari on the first night we arrived. On the second day we did a daytime jungle hike and saw loads of lizards and snakes as well as birds, monkeys and other animals. Kasun was an extremely knowledgeable guide and knew how to spot all the wildlife. On our last day we had a tuk tuk tour of villages, temple and the tea plantation, which was worth it for the fantastic scenery throughout. 100% would recommend and would stay again.

Summary: Exceptional jungle hideaway, great hosts, great guide.

Positive: Top stay. Host and family were so warm and welcoming. Very happy to accommodate all our requests for bird-watching - and we were so fortunate to see so much owing to the knowledge, enthusiasm and expertise of our guides. (Including Kasun's young sons who brought us back from a morning walk!) All meals were truly delicious. And the space we had was huge with everything in good working order. Can't recommend enough.

Negative: Nothing.

Summary: So good we would unhesitatingly recommend to others. Just book it!

Positive: Easily one of my favorite places I’ve ever stayed at. Very friendly host, who’s happy to help you out in any way and is a very knowledgeable guide for tours in the rain forest as well. So far the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Very modern and clean room with a marvelous view on the river where you can see all kinds of animals passing by. And all that for an extremely fair price. I’d be more than happy to come here again!

Positive: The location is amazing - probably my favourite location in Sri Lanka yet, with a beautiful balcony view of the rainforest. The WiFi is very fast, and the food is fantastic.

Negative: Nothing at all to dislike - though it is worth mentioning that the last 200m of road leading up to the house, maybe a little too narrow for some cars. That said, the owner of the property will happily come down and pick you and your luggage up in a tuk-tuk.

Summary: The best location, the most wonderful people - and huge, absolutely delicious meals :)
