Relax at this large, eco friendly house. Imagine your own wood fired pizza - the envy of the neighbourhood. Five night minimum booking during school holidays. No Schoolies groups allowed. Must have good reviews.
The house is nestled in a bush setting 3 minutes walk to the beach. Large, open plan design on three levels, with double storied decks on three sides. Located in second valley at Eurong - away from all the noise and traffic that surrounds the main resort/shop/petrol station area.
A short walk or drive and you have access to all these facilities. Eurong even has a restaurant, bakery and take away shop.
The solar power supply is stored in a large bank of expensive batteries. This 240 volt source powers the lights, large fridge/freezer and washing machine. This is an eco friendly home, discover the real life - take a break from the constant demands from 24/7 technology!
Linen is not supplied so you MUST TAKE YOUR OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS.
Bath mat, tea towels. Pillows, quilts, cleaning and washing detergents all supplied.

If you can't manage without constant technology, microwaves, hairdryers etc then Fraser Island is probably not for you. For those who love new experiences, adventure, nature, appreciate the simple pleasures of life and are prepared to arrange their travels according to low tide- this is the perfect place and I'm sure you'll love the island.
Facilities
The house has a white kitchen with stainless steel bench tops. An island bench holds the large gas cooktop. A wood fired pizza oven sits proudly in the backyard. (please take a bag of firewood)
All cooking utensils, crockery etc are supplied. There is a large gas BBQ on the back deck. Please leave it clean. Please note, there is no microwave or oven as they pull too much power for the solar set up.
The house has a gas hot water system. The caretaker will have this switched on prior to your arrival.
The downstairs living area has two red leather lounges and a dining table that seats eight.
The top floor is a very large area with a high pitched timber ceiling, louvres and skylight provide abundant natural light and ventilation. This is the main bedroom. This area also has a toddlers bed and cot. YOU MUST TAKE YOUR OWN LINEN FOR BEDS ( and COT if required)
On the middle floor there is 2 private bedrooms with queen sized beds. The double bunks are in the living area on the second floor. Sliding glass doors open onto the covered decks at the front and rear of the house.
Telstra mobiles work at the house..
My house does not have television. It is PARTIALLY screened people prefer to have the house opened up to decks.
The bathroom and laundry are located on the ground floor. Outdoor shower for sandy bodies. Spare toilet on upstairs deck
Prices quoted do not include linen. You will need to bring sheets, pillow cases and towels. Bath mat and tea towels are provided.
All blankets, mattress protectors and pillows provided.
A key box is located outside the laundry door for security.

Fraser island is a magnificent world heritage listed island with a million natural treasures! Enjoy the pristine inland lakes, rainforest walks, endless clean beaches, fresh water streams, coloured sand, shipwreck, whale watching and of course FISHING!
The house will be available from 2.00pm, please depart by 10.00am.

Summary: The location at Eurong is good to access many of the islands highlights. The check in process was easy. Kitchen was well equipped. The house has 1 toilet and shower and an added outdoor shower with warm water. There was an additional outdoor toilet on the upstairs deck - which would need to be used for larger groups. The floors were a bit dusty when we arrived - we had to clean prior to use. Toilets, kitchen etc were clean. We didn’t use the pizza oven - but seemed like a nice outdoor space. It’s about a 5 mins walk to the beach. The property is solar powered, but has plenty of hot water - most likely gas.

Summary: Perfect house for Fraser Island. Had a great week staying at Eurong which was perfect in regards to visiting multiple places on the island. The housekeeper was very nice and a great bloke and the house owner was fantastic with organising our trip.
