Other Policy Please note k'gari beach resort is only accessible by 4wd vehicles. a vehicle access permit is required for all vehicles coming onto k'gari. these can be purchased from the ticket hut at river heads or from the shell service station, rainbow beach. guests without their own 4wd vehicles, are required to hire one before arrival at the resort. the island can be accessed by vehicle barges that operate daily from river heads, south of hervey bay, to wanggoolba creek. if arriving via river heads, you must book a space on the vehicle barge ferry in advance. from the sunshine coast via rainbow beach, the rainbow venture barge is on demand between inskip point and hook point between 07:00 and 17:00 and bookings are not required. please note that there is a 1.5% charge when you pay with a visa or mastercard credit card.".guests are required to show a photo id and credit card upon check-in. please note that all special requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply, please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. you can use the special requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation, guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Positive: the rooms were spacious and clean .service was great . restaurant was fantastic. good service good food. pool was clean. staff were very helpfull and polite.

Negative: it would top it off if the gym was open to the public . even if a fee

Positive: The dinner service at McKenzies on 75 was amazing. Service was exceptional. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help. Our server (can’t remember his name but I think he was from Marlborough in England) was amazing. He fixed our wonky table without getting prompted. Room was clean and comfortable.

Summary: Comfortable, friendly and I wish we could have stayed longer!

Positive: The amazing staff at the restaurant. Jasmine Chantell and Mansfield . Also Nicole. The lamb rack was excellent.

Negative: The resort is very tired overall. Rooms need a vacuum not a broom and a really good clean using some biodegradable products as it's a septic system. 2025 so there are ECO friendly options, not excuses with the overall cleanliness.

Summary: Will be back but the juice is not worth the squeeze.

Positive: The Hotel was nice and kept well. The pool was very ample for the resort and it was central to alot of the attractions of Fraser Island.

Negative: Given that we are now in the 21st Century, the entertainment facilities and Technology systems let everything else down. We only had access to 4 or 5 Television Channels and there was no Wifi within the Hotel. This is quite poor in this day and age. For the price it was per night I expected more. Rooms are not Air Conditioned again a bit of a let down.

Summary: It was great to getaway to such a beautiful part of the world.

Negative: Oven listed but not in the apartment. No food or drinks and bar shut at 9pm.when on holiday you do not expect to have no service after 9pm the evening is only just starting after your dinner.
