Positive: The owners have created through their incredible devotion to the land and its people a truly remarkable property that is staffed by individuals who prepare every meal with love and every activity with enthusiasm. Located at the distant end of a beautiful peninsula that stretches far into the largest lake in Colombia one is hence surrounded by and engulfed in an amazingly tranquil beauty that is so very precious and timeless. The joy that was to be had by being able to awake and to go to sleep with unobstructed vistas of the lake in the mountains was wonderful. To be able to walk for miles among the fields of onions and potatoes being incredibly well tended and cared for by the men and women working so very hard in their cultivation by hand of this amazing land is memorable. I did not wish to leave. I have been gone now just a day and I hope so very much that I will be able to return to this magical place that I was so fortunate to have been able to visit.

Positive: The view and the setting of the hotel

Negative: The access road to the hotel was in a very poor state and not to the standard the hotel likes to be seen. Also, whilst we know the staff only follow the rules of management, there was very little flexibility to accommodate the customer, such as an earlier check-in whilst the hotel rooms were ready and available. In addition, having booked the room through Booking.com, the hotel management was unwilling to apply the usual VAT reduction to the room used by non-Colombian tourists.

Negative: Very cold at night and no heating, there was a double bed ,, no king !

Positive: The location is perfect, though you need to have your own car to move around since its on an island.

Negative: They hotel organised a boat tour for us but the boat arrived more than an hour late and we were not informed so we kept waiting.

Summary: great location, expensive though.
