Positive: Location, very private in the cute valley green and cloudy, breakfast service in the morning being brought to us, wooden cabin house very nicely done and good quality and style. Even during the night we enjoyed a walk to the closest restaurant, it was nice and part of the adventure.

Summary: Being in the nature never felt more comfortable! We felt spoiled

From the moment we arrived, Kenneth welcomed us with genuine kindness, truly one of the best hosts we’ve ever met. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he made our stay feel effortless, warm, and memorable from beginning to end. We’ve travelled all around the world, but here we found something rare: peace, tranquility, and a quiet heartbeat that instantly soothes you. Our lodge was cosy, comfortable, and perfectly blended into the natural surroundings, with views that were simply… breathtaking. Kenneth also organised a morning bird-watching tour for us, a beautiful, serene experience we highly recommend. And breakfast? Absolutely delicious and the perfect start to the day. Positive: Really nice lodge in the mountains. The location was amazing and the staff were so friendly and so helpful. We had a really good morning bid watching with Carlos and although we had to pay extra for the breakfast it was really nice.

Negative: There could have been more storage and kitchen facilities in the lodge. The driveway to the lodge is a bit sketchy and the car struggled a bit. Need a 4x4 to be comfortable

Positive: Beautiful private place with good facilities, stunning views and comfortable bed. The host was very friendly and helpful and questions were answered promptly. I particularly enjoyed breakfast by his trout pond on one of the mornings!

Negative: More facilities for cooking could have been nice, though I know that it was clear these weren't on offer. Just a thought for the future. It was very easy to get nice food in local restaurants.

Summary: What a beautiful location - we particularly enjoyed the view and the Quetzal sightings!

Positive: We booked with Entre Árboles Lodge last minute after experiencing the crowds of Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. San Gerardo de Dota was another, much more perfect world. The area has fantastic walks and forests, and Entre Árboles Lodge was wonderful: it is private and relaxed. Booking Entre Árboles Lodge was the best decision of our 3-week trip to Costa Rica.

Summary: We only wish we could have spent more than 3 nights!
