Positive: Our bungalow was absolutely beautiful and the view over the forest throughout was exceptional. It had been recently renovated with a beautiful new bathroom with shower and jacuzzi that we loved. The room was well equipped for the three of us and the mini bar had nice reasonably priced offers. The private trail was also a lovely addition to the main trails in the attached reserve. The onsite breakfast was nice and the gallery had some nice things to see and buy.The arranged quetzal tour with Carlos was brilliant.

Negative: The bed was really not comfy (way too soft for me), the restaurant is ok but not particularly special (we ate better for cheaper up the road at Miriam's). It didn't really bother us, but some of the bungalows are quite a walk from reception and can be challenging in the early morning without the lights.

Positive: Our room was amazing - it had such a great panoramic view of the rainforest from its own terrace and was very private. We had so much space and a jacuzzi bath. We only stayed one night but if we had stayed longer there were so many walks and tours we could have done.

Negative: It was so high up we were affected by the altitude. Also our room was at least a 15 minute staired walkway from reception and resturant. We ate in the restaurant and food was ok - not brilliant for the price we paid.

Positive: The staff were friendly, always with a smile and very helpful. The food was delicious, the room was spotless. The decoration was so beautiful and the location was perfect to connect with nature.

Negative: I will say that internet was not very good, (something in that specific area) but did not bother us so much since the purpose of the trip was to disconnect from all the noise from the "outside" The space in the rooms from our bungalows were huge, so I will say that super king bed could be a nicer instead of double beds.

Summary: UNFORGETTABLE!!! it was a dream location and place to stay for all of us!

Positive: We only booked this property for one night but having stayed there would have definitely liked to have stayed another few nights but our schedule was against us. We were upgraded to a four person bungalow - number 1 which had stunning views and beautifully equipped with large jacuzzi and cable TV The walks through the nature reserve are wonderful but can be a bit steep in place. The restaurant is very good with the best meal we had on our Costa Rica trip.

Negative: Nil. Some of the rooms were being done up and some are a long way from the main lodge through the forest parks and might not be suitable for everyone.

Summary: A great find. Worth more than one nights visit.

Positive: The location is breath taking, and the entire site is great for hiking. My wife suffers of celiac desiese and their gluten free options are vast and delicious.

Negative: The rooms are not designed for the cold nights, bring warm clothing or you will have a hard time with almost the almost 0C nights.
