Summary: Stunning property! We stayed for two nights in Walkers Rest cottage, it was very comfortable and had all the comforts of home. Our welcome package was much appreciated and we enjoyed the local products included. Surrounding area was so picturesque. One evening we walked (approx 40mins) to the Royal Oak Pub for a delicious meal and a few pints, and the next morning we went for a jog in the area & local footpaths. Lots of farm animals directly surrounding the property, the sounds of the cows and sheep at night lulled us to sleep. Having laundry facilities on site was so convenient, as well the little shop.Definitely recommend hiking the Mam Tor if you’re staying in the area, as well as checking out the Monsal Trail (we rented e-bikes at the Blackwell Mill Cycle Hire and rode to Bakewell for a tart and cider then cycled back - such a beautiful trail with many places to stop for sightseeing/grub, one of the highlights of our UK trip!)Would highly recommend making your countryside dreams come true at Wheeldon Tree Cottages!
