Positive: This is easily the nicest cottage we have stayed in. Built in the 1870s as (I presume) a shepherd's cottage, it has been lovingly restored and is today full of atmosphere and romance. The cottage is perfect if you are looking for some quiet time away from the city to rejuvenate or just relax. The cottage is beautifully appointed with everything you need for your stay. We appreciated having the fireplace set and made good use of it, which provided great atmosphere during a cold evening. T. the kitchen is well appointed, perfect if you intend to do some cooking during your stay. We loved the morning bird chorus while sitting on the veranda with a morning coffee. The creek nearby wasn't flowing when we were there (it was after all the end of summer) but it was nice nonetheless to go for an explore. Best of all was taking in the atmosphere of the cottage itself, coiled up in front of the crackling fire with a good book and glass of wine.

Negative: There was very little not to like but there were one or two things that could be improved. While the idea is of course to relax in a country setting, I had intended to do some work whilst there. The internet wasn't really up to the task which was frustrating. I'd have liked a broom and brush and shovel to sweep the floors. The fly screen needs fixing. It would be good if there was actually room in the drawers to put our clothes away; only the top drawer was empty. A microwave would have been useful.
