Summary: Great little place about a 15-minute walk into town, Enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. If walking back from town you do have to climb the hill back to the house. Worked out great for our little group. Owner was very responsive and great to deal with.

Summary: Okay, if you want to be close to downtown Elkin (restaurants, shops, theater) and want to have a comfy, practical home base, this is your spot. This was our second stay here (and we plan to stay here again and again). The owners and support staff deserve all five stars in all the categories above. Got to explore Elkin more this time and enjoyed the trails (with foot bridges) and the vineyards and the Reeves Theater (music venue). Restaurants in downtown Elkin are great in terms of quality and variety. This specific VRBO home is convenient to all of the above. We are looking forward to our next stay!
