Positive: The apartment is spacious, comfortable and kitchen is equipped with everything one could need; dishwasher, washing machine,microwave, large fridge, coffee machine, water kettle, even a dehydrator. The clothes dryer is in the bathroom. I like that toilet is separate from bathroom and the little fan did pretty good job. The bathroom has bath, which may be difficult for some people since it didn’t have bars to assist getting in or out. The bed is comfortable and plenty electric outlets around. Heating works great. Location is ideal, near shopping, restaurants and sights. Nicolas our host was available and helped us find medical lab and made some calls for us. Thank you Nicolas! Communication with host went flawless.

Negative: We are on bikes and the “courtyard “ where we could park the bikes is up narrow steep flights of stairs. (Thank god for my strong man. ) But what really made us uncomfortable was the discovery of 2 interior surveillance cameras, one in hallway, pointed at the entry door, and one in living room!! We felt this is an invasion of privacy and not okay with us!! For that reason I can’t give Douceur de Vignes a perfect score. We did mention this to Nicolas and he insists it is not a camera and only connected to alarm company.

Positive: The host was very responsive ! We loved the extra space to lounge around in. It's beautifully decorated, the washer and dryer was a bonus! The owners are very generous.

Positive: This was a light and spacious apartment located in an ideal spot to explore the elegant and non-touristy town of Chalons. We enjoyed our three nights there enormously! The host was very friendly and replied to our messages very promptly.

Positive: Lovely spacious apartment, very well equipped and in a great location. Stef and Nico were really welcoming and helpful hosts. We would definitely stay again if we are back in Chalon-sur-Saone.
