Summary: Hotel is tired and dated, lacks atmosphere and staff presence. Furniture and carpets need attention. Toilets need paper towels or functioning hand dryers, and locks were missing on some of the doors. Our hotel room was comfortable and clean although we didn’t have conditioner or hand soap in the room for the duration of our stay. Could also do with free bottles of water in the bedroom too. The staff at the hotel were pleasant and friendly, however there needs to be more staff generally around the hotel. The outside has beautiful grounds, but the patio area looks abandoned. Would I stay at the hotel again?. Yes, it’s got lots of potential but it looks as though there’s been streamlining to reduce the overheads.

Summary: The room was clean. The shower and bath taps were complicated and I ended up soaked! The curtain on one side of the window was hanging off on a couple of rungs . Otherwise the room was fine . Perhaps an explanation on how the cards open up the delivery of electricity would be useful as I had to call reception to say that the electricity was not working in the bathroom . At that point the receptionist explained how the cards worked . Parking was an issue as there seemed to be a conference happening . Eventually I found a space but had to pay £15 to park overnight which I had known but would have expected to have a space available!

Summary: This hotel exceeded my expectations. Booked it last minute thoroughly enjoyed my stay will definitely be returning.. Everything was to a high standard could not fault this hotel.

Summary: Great location. Amazing old building with character but very comfortable. Substantial breakfast and spa was a lovely addition too. Excellent service. Would recommend and stay again.

Summary: Generally the stay was very good except for the spa. Jacuzzi and swimming pool were extremely dirty (both water and surrounds), time limited to 1 hour, insufficient seating for number of people allowed in the spa and staff require a refresher course on dealing with guests politely.
