Positive: We were visiting family nearby in Alajuela so this was perfect to have some privacy in a quieter area. We LOVED discovering this place. It is in a peaceful and safe pocket of central Alajuela, close to everything. If you are a visitor and unfamiliar with the area, it is literally steps from Plaza Real which is a very nice shopping/dining plaza with a bunch of tasty restaurants, Starbucks, a movie theater, playground for kids, etc. Everything in the unit is spotless and updated and the kitchen is really well-equipped. (Note that if you are planning to do hardcore cooking you will need to walk a little further for a full-on grocery store, though there is a small market in Plaza Real for conveniences.) Great wi fi and comfy beds. Very secure property. The hosts are super friendly and hands-on and live on the property, so if you need anything you have support. If you are coming or going from SJO, don’t hesitate to book here instead of an overpriced airport hotel that’s isolated from stuff. GREAT VALUE!!! It is hard to find as nice a place for this value, this close to the airport. My family and I are in Alajuela a lot and I will 100% book again when we need the space.

Positive: The owners are incredibly kind in every way. The apartment feels very homey. I was there on business in Alajuela, and it's very easy and inexpensive to get around with Didi. You have a multitude of restaurants and shops within a 2-minute walk. The well-equipped kitchen makes cooking easy. The bed is comfortable, and there's always hot water. The TV offers a wide variety of channels in English and Spanish.

Negative: If other people are renting the 1st floor apartment, the building's structure allows sounds from that apartment to travel easily to the second-floor apartment. If people are discreet, it's not a problem.

Positive: I got a spacious apartment on the upper floor of one of the serial houses you see on the advert. The appartment is solid, extremely well equipped and close to everything you might need. You have your own independent entrance and secure parking. The landlords living close provide a incredible service. In al the many years I've been renting places in Costa Rica I've never met such a perfect hospitality. There were fruits and biscuits, the many things you need for coffee and tee and in the fridge there was what you need for a breakfast! The hosts are friendly and extremely responsive. I'll definitely hire this flat again. Recommend!

Positive: Excellent communication from our very accommodating & welcoming hosts. Milk, fruit, cereal, etc. all provided. Mall 5 minutes walk away with lots of restaurants. Brilliant location for the airport.

Negative: One of the $ bills taken from an ATM that day was torn which is apparently a problem in CR, so make sure you have spares.
