Positive: Domaine de Givre is a simply lovely bed and breakfast in the rolling countryside just outside of Chinon proper. The apartments are in a 4-500 year old converted gatehouse/stable and the tasteful conversion to guest accommodations provides a wonderful juxtaposition between the old and the new. Our host, Ronan, provided a quite scrumptious fresh breakfast each morning, with delicious breads, fruit, cheese, ham and even a soft boiled egg! Two wonderful cats greeted us in the gardens each day, give them a scratch for us Ronan! I highly recommend this property to anyone seeking a quiet, luxury rural getaway in the Loire Valley.

Negative: Nothing to speak of, really. Bathroom is a little tight with the exposed beams and the pool could have been warmer!
