Your vacation starts the minute you pull up to Lazy Dog. When you walk inside you will immediately notice that Lazy Dog was designed to allow large groups to be together! Right inside, you will be greeted by a fireplace (seasonal) and large living room (with tv). Open concept design contributes to the spacious feeling and seamlessly connects you to the dining area and kitchen – yet there is more – the space continues out into the back screened in porch and the second living space in the basement.
OUTDOOR GATHERING SPACE
Family tends to spend most of their time in the screened in porch, enjoying the outdoor furniture and 8-person outdoor table while overlooking the woods! The best part is sipping coffee on the back porch in early morning, watching the deer run through! Make memories with family and friends! Did we mention the fire pit in the back yard that overlooks the forest? What a great way to end each day, roasting some ‘mallows or popping some popcorn.

Reviewer Comments: Overall, our family enjoyed our holiday stay and we appreciated the Christmas tree and holiday decorations. The house is large, and the downstairs space for kids was nice. General maintenance could be improved--slow draining tubs, problem with dishwasher, broken shelf in refrigerator, running toilet, chipped coffee pot and glassware, etc.

The Beachwalk neighborhood is a fantastic place to unwind, with tons of things to do and beautiful grounds to explore. The golf cart was a nice touch, making it easy to zip over to the beach—such a perfect location!The outdoor spaces were lovely, and we really enjoyed relaxing there. While we had a few minor issues (like a nonworking grill and some dust/hair on the floor), the staff, especially PJ, was very responsive and took care of things quickly. We also found a few dirty dishes, but it didn’t take away from our stay. Overall, Lazy Dog Dunes was a great choice for a beach weekend, and we appreciated the helpful management team!

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very big with lots of space. I should have thought about the dog dander being present, as I am allergic and had a flare up. Needs some things repaired, like kitchen table bench legs were all loose-my mom got caught up in one and tore her ACL the second night. She then had to be immobile for the rest of the week. Would have been nice to have the community area have a wheelchair and a beach wheelchair foe people to use so we could have wheeled her up the ramp to the second floor of the beach hut. Also the pool does not have a handicap seat for entrance to swim. She would have been able to enjoy that.Would probably choose a different house next time that does not allow animals. We did like location along the woods to see wildlife and have a quiet night time.The golf cart did not work but we got a replacement on the 4th day finally. We still had a nice time especially the kids and will continue to come back but would love to see some accessibility improvements.Would recommend this house if not allergic to animals etc..

We were given one towel a person and no beach towels. Beach chairs sucked. They didn’t even clean up leaves in back yard. I stayed here as they allowed dogs was only plus. Basement couch was awful. Most beds not comfortable. Microwave glitchy. Golf cart was very slow.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were looking for a place within Beachwalk that could house 3 families and a dog, and Lazy Dog Dunes fit perfectly. We had 6 adults and 5 kids and there was plenty of space. We stayed 3 nights. Everything seemed brand new and clean. There were some toys and books for the kids in addition to the popular foosball table. We loved the screened in porch on the back of the house for breakfast lunch and dinner, and just to extend the living space a little bit. The kitchen was well stocked with silverware, plates and cookware. We used the golf cart to get back and forth to the clubhouse, but the walk was enjoyable as well. We were able to park 2 cars in front of the house and then we had a 3rd car in the parking lot, which is just a short walk away. We loved the proximity to the playground as well. Overall it was such an enjoyable experience!

Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd time staying at Lazy Dog Dunes and as always, the house is perfect for our needs. Plenty of space to spread out, a screened in porch where we spent most of our time hanging out and a nice area out back to sit around a campfire. The kitchen is pretty well equipped, there are plenty of chairs for the campfire and they also had beach chairs and umbrellas for the beach. The kids had a nice selection of games and toys to play with as well. The floors are tiled so it does cause noise to travel, but we learned to be extra quiet in the mornings to help alleviate waking up those that want to sleep in.Overall, I highly recommend this home for your stay.Side note: We travel with a group of 4 other house renters and all of us see the same problem throughout the houses at Beachwalk. Be aware that the sand around all of the houses is very dirty and this in turn causes the main floors in all of the houses to be very dirty even on the first day after the cleaning crew comes in. If you go barefoot in the houses or if the kids play in the sand outside, you will see the effects of this dirt on the kids and the bottom of your feet.
