Positive: There was nothing to complain about Magnus is a superb host, nothing is to much trouble, his two dogs Henry and Sara were well trained and were brilliant with our little dog, the setting is tranquil and beautiful, the accommodation is spacious, and well laid out, the kitchen has everything you could want, the lounge is huge with a pool table and table football, and the bed is super comfy, we are definitely going again. As you can see from our comments, We quite liked it 😁

Negative: Pass, we loved it!!

Positive: Amazing location and scenery surrounding. Heaps of spaces to relax plus the pool table and other games. Firewood, bread, eggs, butter and milk provided, and Magnus went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable, including setting up the outdoor table setting when the weather was amenable. Heaps of information provided about local attractions, sights and places to eat.

Negative: The heating wasn’t as good in the living room as the kitchen and bedrooms, but it was not an issue for us.

Summary: Rustic charm. Don’t be fooled by first impressions, this was an amazing place to stay with an absolutely wonderful host.

Positive: We received a warm welcome from the host's friend Patrick. There are two lovely dogs and horses on site which are extra bonus as we love animals. House is very clean and well decorated. The bed is comfortable. Magnus(the host) has prepared milk, eggs, bread and jam, cooking ingredients and other things more than we expected. The logs for the fireplace are sufficient on site. Magnus is a very thoughtful host which makes our stay a very loving memory even the weather is not great. We love this house and would like to come back in the summer. Thank you Magnus

Negative: Location is a bit remote. The living room is a bit cold as the heating does not work properly.

Positive: The tea, coffee, milk, butter and soda bread was fantastic... Nice touch when arriving late... Pots of jam and other essentials were fab too.. Loved meeting the horses and great to walk around the orchard, lanes and watch the resident pheasant and bunnies... A piece of tranquility, much needed after being in a busy town/ city. It's quiet, it's beautiful... We'd stay again. It is pretty remote and you need to drive out to get any essentials but it's not too far from a shop... Local town is 5 miles away with Tesco etc.. The dog loved it, remember dog blankets/ basket..the kids enjoyed playing on the football and pool tables provided. Lots of logs supplied for fire situated in dining area and it was very warm. The beds, mattresses and Egyptian cotton sheets were all perfect for a restful sleep. Everything is tidy and In fact nothing has been forgotten...there's hair straighteners, an iron, hairdryer, bin bags, cloths, washing liquid, soaps etc... no need to take anything apart from yourself, toothbrush and clothing ..

Negative: A little colder in the far room away from the kitchen and dining area where fire is but it was the start of March.. it's a large room to heat! We sat in kitchen while teenagers played pool so we weren't bothered.
