Summary: We had a wonderful stay in this property. The location is really ideal, it is in a quiet area but only a few minutes drive from the main attractions: sea, shops and places to have lunch and dinner. The hospitality is down to the last detail, the house is equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and quality holiday and we felt at home from the first moment we arrived. Special praise goes to Mike, the host of the cottage: an exceptional person, always available and ready to help with any request. His kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. Definitely recommended accommodation.

Summary: We spent an amazing two weeks on the beautiful island of Kefalonia. A visit that was enhance by our stay at cottage Hestia. We have travelled extensively throughout Greece and this is the best place we have stayed. It has every comfort that you will need, and literally is like a home from home. It is well maintained and very very clean. The support from the host is superb. Really supportive with information and help, but without being too intrusive. The actual location is perfect for exploring the island. Nothing is too far away. In fact, the close proximity (about 15 min drive) to the airport made for a relaxed journey. Argostoli is only a 10/15 drive away, and being so close really added massive value to the holiday. We were able to spend several evenings relaxing there, enjoying a fantastic atmosphere and variety of restaurants. From just watching the world go by sat in the central square, to taking a sunset cruise from the harbour, or taking advantage the frequent ferries to make the 15 minute journey across to Lixouri. Just wonderful. Many, many amazing beeches can be easily reached. During our first week week we easily drove to Myrtos, Antisamos, Scala, Lourdas, and Xi. However in the second week we spent all of our time at the local beech in Spartia, only 10 mins drive away. For beech lovers this offered everything we wanted and needed. Also very close by we found brilliant local tavernas. One, Anna's, is literally a short 5 minute walk away. Superb authentic Greek food. Overall a real gem of a property. Superb hosts, top accommodation and a unique location on the island. If you are looking for a property, and you are reading this, then my recommendation to you is to stop lookng, and just book cottage Hestia. Have a great holiday.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The owners were extremely helpful without being intrusive. We did some lovely walks and enjoyed walking to the local taverna in the evening. Highly recommended.

Summary: Having extensively researched where we would like to stay for our holiday in Kefalonia we came across 'Cottage Hestia''. We decided to go ahead and book as it had all the elements we were looking for to make a good holiday. The owners Mick and Maria were excellent from the very beginning by keeping in touch with us either by email or phone. Mick organised a scooter for us and took us down to collect it after we had time to check out - what I liked to call the bungalow. Half an hour previous to this he had collected us from the airport. Great service. Cottage Hestia is exceptionally clean, plenty of towels, constant hot water, plenty of space, lots of storage and coat hangers. Very airy too! The single beds were amazingly comfortable. You also have your own little balcony but are more than welcome to use the sunny back garden. Some lovely little touches there as well. Mick and Maria are definitely in the right trade as they are both dedicated to 'you' making the most of your time there in the cottage and on the island. Lot's of fascinating stories about the most lovely idyllic village, the history behind it, where to eat etc. Equally, if you want to do your own thing and just come and go they are not intrusive whatsoever. They just want to know you are happy. I could go on and on, but in short, I think you would be hard pressed to find such accommodation at such a good price whatever the season. We knew on the second day that we would be returning, and anyone that knows me, knows that my bucket list is vast...so yes, we will be returning to see the bluest of seas and eat the lovely Greek food, but mostly the lovely couple who are Mick and Maria - great hosts.
