Positive: I loved everything about this stay! The rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean, comfortable and calming as are all surrounding grounds, there are plenty of spots where you can relax and enjoy the amazing views of the jungle and rice terraces. The family are also so incredibly warm and welcoming, I had the opportunity to help out Putu’s wife, Mardi with cooking dinner one evening (all of the food is healthy and delicious). As a solo traveller, I enjoyed that everyone sits around the table and has dinner together and connects. Putu offers fascinating insights into Balinese traditions, culture and spirituality that I am so grateful to have heard. I was lucky enough to also go on the spiritual jungle trek tour with 5 others, not to be missed if on offer! This place has been created with such clear intention~ a home away from home where people can unwind and connect with one another. By far my favourite experience and stay in Bali after a month of travel.

Positive: I stayed here for a few nights, and it was a truly grounding and beautiful experience. The place is peaceful and spotless, with a comfortable room and a calming atmosphere. Putu and his wife are two of the kindest, most genuine people. You can have deep, meaningful conversations with Putu. His wife prepares absolutely delicious food throughout your stay, and I was lucky to cook with her one evening—it was such a special moment. I also did a jungle trek with Putu, and his deep connection with nature made it feel magical. One of the highlights was a private purification ritual at a hidden temple—no tourists, just the sound of water and the stillness. If you’re looking for a soulful, authentic experience away from the crowds, this is the perfect place.

Positive: Gorgeous views, room spotless and very nicely furnished. Lovely staff - thank you for taking me to catch a Grab and for all the lovely ginger teas.

Negative: No proper air conditioning in the room. Just a fan. I didn’t realise as I didn’t read the information correctly. Not a lot of privacy on the outdoor area and people smoking in chalet next door.

The food is delicious, made from fresh local ingredients. Putu and his family greet you with genuine warmth and hospitality. This small and cozy bungalow is nestled in a stunning garden with beautiful jungle views and rice fields all around – the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. Putu, the owner and tour guide, is an absolute gem. Always smiling and full of knowledge, he took us on a walk through the jungle and shared fascinating stories about Balinese history and religion. His passion and kindness made the experience even more special. Made, his lovely wife, cooks the most delicious local meals I’ve ever had. Every dish felt like a warm hug – truly spectacular! This place has such a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. I’m so glad I found it and I’m already looking forward to coming back. 10/10 without a doubt!

Putu and his family have built an extraordinary oasis in the mountains, with lush greenery, gorgeous terrace views, and exceptional home cooking. The location is perfect as a home base for adventures and attracts kind-hearted and interesting travellers to befriend around the kitchen table. I was sad to leave and will definitely be returning. 10/10
