Positive: The bed is very comfortable, clean sheets and towels, nice balcony looking at the sea, airconditioner saved our lives during the day (it was very hot in Sao Filipe), they prepared us breakfast for the next morning because we had an early flight.

Negative: The music from the bar/restaurant upstairs woke me up from my afternoon nap, but the host was prepared to switch room next door. So if you would like to rest in the hotel ask for a room that is not facing the shaft were you can hear everything going around.

Summary: Very comfortable bed, nice location, amazing sea view

Positive: It's a simple guest house, but with an authentic feel. We stayed in the sea-view rooms, right in front of the beautiful black beach. It was lovely to hear the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. The room was large enough, simply furnished, and had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast, served on the veranda, was very good and varied. We also had dinner (someone wrote that you could not have dinner, which was very strange...) and we must say that we ate very well. We believe that, at a reasonable price, it is the best establishment on the whole island of Fogo. We recommend it.

Positive: This was probably our favorite stay in our trip; the ocean view we had from our room and from the breakfast terrace was simply breathtaking, we were sad we only stayed one night. Breakfast was abundant and tasty, buffet-style with some cape verdian dishes, such as cuscus. The room was clean, spacious, as well as the bathroom. The staff was also very friendly with us and someone could also speak some English. They helped us calling a taxi when we discovered our flight was anticipated and we risked losing it.

Negative: We liked everything, perhaps a great add-on would be a wire or a plastic dry rack to hang your clothes on the balcony to let them dry.

Summary: Highly recommended!

Positive: The view was nice!! I even see some dolphins in from of the apartment!! Good Breakfast on the terrasse. Staff was super nice. We have an issue with a guide and the staff helped us a lot.

Negative: The air conditioning didn’t work so it was really hot in the room, but it was only in our room.

Summary: I really recommend this place!!

Positive: Nice renovated place in the first line to the ocean, nice breakfast on rooftop terrace, very friendly staff. Has a bar in the evening. Amazing views on Brava island at sunset. Large room with a ocean side balcony, you can sleep listening to the waves when it's not too hot.

Negative: Even though it's first line to the sea, there is no direct way down the cliff, it's a 10-15 mins walk either way to get down to the beach. Doors in the room (entrance & bathroom) are badly fit, squeaky, loud, hard to close / open. Bad ventilation in the rooms, the aircon was not really working properly, would be nice to have a fan at least. It gets loud in the morning with the open balcony with some construction going on.

Negative: It would been better if it was closer to city center or an area with better access to the beach.
