Summary: The room wa clean and comfortable. The staff are brilliant. There were a couple of 'issues' when we arrived. TWe couldn't get the bedside lights to work and the radiator was very noisy and not heating. We mentioned this to the staff and both issues were sorted straight away (the fuse switch on the wall had been turned off, hence the lights not working and th radiator had an airlock and needed to be bled).There is some noise from the bar below but this ends when the bar closes at 10.30 and then all is quiet. The food in the bar is delicious and you get a discount on food and drink if you are staying upstairs!

Summary: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room, could do with a refresh but had everything we needed. Bed was too soft and tilts down towards the head so quite uncomfortable. Generally fine though.

Summary: Quite quirky, complimentary tray basic and shower poor pressure. Quite dusty in more out of reach areas like on the top op the bed top and the carpet was worn near the en suit. the bed was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. Would expect more for the money.

Summary: Bar well stocked. Efficient checking in. Staff all friendly and helpful. On entrance room looked OK however after spending a few hrs there it was evident we had chosen poorly. Carpet was filthy furnishings disgraceful covered with throws to hide stains. Worst part was the bed. The worst three nights sleep we have ever had. Mattress needs condemning and we both woke in pain with our backs. Bathroom adequate. Shower tray had no safety mat. This should be looked at. No fan and bathroom mirror not working. We would add none of this is due to poor staff cleaning as they cannot be responsible for poor furniture and fittings. On discussing whether we should complain we decided against it as we had booked a superior room so it seemed pointless! Furthermore entry and exit door cannot be opened fully and kept sticking. In an emergency this could be fatal. Comments made to encourage owners to improve accommodation. Spend an evening in room 5 and see how you get on. We won't be returning. Very disappointing stay.
