1 Bedroom Cottage in Hot Springs

This beautiful post and beam, stone and cedar shake cottage is located on the edge of Spring Creek in the quaint mountain town of Hot Springs. It has proven to be a couple's favorite.
The Stone Cottage sleeps 2 in a large bedroom loft with a king sized bed.
The cottage features a fully kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare a meal in house if you choose. There is a nice open living area and small dining table. A gas stove is in the center of the downstairs living room/dining/kitchen to provide ambiance during cooler months. The downstairs bathroom includes custom tilework throughout, and there is an enclosed outdoor shower if you prefer.
A large deck wraps around two sides of the home, making plenty of space to relax and take in the wildlife and sounds of the creek. There is a jacuzzi tub on the deck with views right over the rushing creek. Walk down several steps to the creek below the cottage. This area is shared with the Creek House next door, but there is plenty of room for everyone. There is a fire pit located in this area for your use. You will have access to one of the best swimming holes in the area right below the cottage, and fishing is also a great pastime in Spring Creek. There is a propane grill on the deck.
Linens, WiFi, and basics like toilet paper and paper towels are provided. There is a washer and dryer located in a shed that is attached to the house by the parking area.
The cottage is just a 5-minute walk to downtown Hot Springs and the Appalachian Trail.
Hot Springs is a great destination in all seasons! The weather is mild, and roads are tended in the wintertime, and the Hot Springs Spa is open year-around for hot mineral soaks. Restaurants and shops are open as well, and we love to hike the Lover's Leap trail on cool, sunny days when things are a bit quieter around here.
Summer is a wonderful season to enjoy many things to do outside, including rafting and tubing and venturing up to Max Patch Bald.
Spring sees beautiful mountain wildflowers and hikers traveling through on the Appalachian Trail.
Fall never disappoints with endless potentials to see the trees changing at different elevations and finishing your day with a fire and soak in the natural hot springs or a beer at Big Pillow Brewing. Fun things to do year around!

Summary: The cottage was as good or better than the pictures on Vrbo, and we had a delightful time. No electronic "babbling brook" generator could match the sound of Spring Creek just outside the door. Proximity to town and hiking were both great. Perfect weather helped, but had it rained we could have just stayed indoors and enjoyed ourselves just as much. Can't thank you enough, Karen!!

Summary: This cute riverside cobblestone restored our energy and offered tranquilty, beauty and peace. We enjoyed swimming in the river, drinking wine on the beautiful deck overlooking the river, taking our showers in the outdoor shower, and Simmering in the hot tub in tje evenings. Summary: From the very start, everything about the Stone Cottage exceeded our expectations. The creekside location, the ambience of the house itself. We were continually impressed by the thoughtful details of the Cottage and its decor. We had everything we needed, linens, paper products, seasonings, a fully equipped kitchen. Even a first aid kit! This is by far the cutest and well equipped vacation property we have ever rented. We would love to return. We made great memories at the Stone Cottage! Loved the guest book rock pile too ❤️

Summary: The cottage was wonderful. The sound of the creek just melted away any stress. The hot tub was wonderful as well as was the quiet setting and location. We enjoyed the small town of Hot Springs and everything it offered. We will definitely be back in the future.

Summary: Arriving during a heat wave we thought there might be thunderstorms. Fortunately, the rain (which was badly needed in the area) held off until the late eveing on our departure day. Relaxing by the stream makes it diificult to take advantage of the many hiking trails in the area, but we always get in some excursions. Returning for a nice hottub before bed takes away any aches. I'm certain we'll be back soon.
