The gîte de Saint Amand is located on a wine estate, the Domaine de Saint Amand, in the grounds of a 17th century “gable farm”, completely renovated and listed as Cultural Heritage.
Out of sight, overlooking the hills of Cambes, it is ideally located about fifteen kilometers from the center of Bordeaux. A true haven of peace, it will offer you peace and relaxation after your visit to the Bordeaux metropolis.
Shops are nearby: villages of Cambes and Saint Caprais 1.5 km away.

Summary: Had a wonderful time at Domain St Amand lovely setting very clean all you could wish for to recharge your batteries.

Summary: The gite was very comfortable and well equipped. Sarah was very helpful and lovely to deal with. The private pool is a real bonus in a small gite and was very clean. Several deck chairs and other seating were available. Eating outdoors on the terrace was very pleasant in the evening and the BBQ facilities were right beside the pool area. The aroma from the lime tree in the garden was stunning in June/July and views across the vineyard were beautiful - very relaxing with a glass of Sarah's excellent wine! Taking the service bus from the village of Cambes, where it is easy to park the car, was a perfect way to have a day out in Bordeaux without the hassle of parking and was unbelievably cheap. We have already recommended this property to friends.

Summary: The gite was well presented in a peaceful and tranquil setting. The pool was delightful and essential to cool off in. Ideally situated for visiting the vineyards of Bordeaux as well as further afield to the Arcachon Basin.
