Positive: Beautiful little cottage full of history and with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Parking was easy and the central location is very convenient for the town’s facilities. Our host was proactive with helpful parking advice ahead of our stay. The cottage is only a few miles from the Avebury stone circles and the West Kennet long barrow, making it ideal for an evening visit when it’s quieter.

Negative: Nothing!

Positive: Central to Marlborough town and located 10 minutes from Avebury. Ideal for me. Clean, spacious, all I needed for a comfortable non pressured stay. Milk, tea, coffee all supplied. Plus many other items useful and to hand. Good extra facilities supplied. Hot powerful shower, comfy bed, everywhere felt fresh and clean. Quality towels, bedding, cleaning products etc made stay more enjoyable. Fully equipped kitchen. Quiet, quirky and I felt safe as solo woman traveller. John particularly helpful with local info and a warm friendly welcome. Always available if I needed advice.

Negative: Faultless. Everything I needed for a short carefree stay to relax and explore local areas.

Summary: A perfect few days to relax. Would recommend. Value for money. Very happy with my choice of venue.

Positive: Quaint little cottage with its delightful quirks. My husband did have to think about ducking his head in places however this added to the charm. A perfect weekend get away with all the necessary mod cons. Conveniently situated off the high street for the shopping, coffee shops and restaurants. I am sure we will be back at some point.

Negative: There was nothing not to like - perfect for our stay.

Positive: Full of character & renovated really well. Clean, furnished simply but sufficiently, spacious lounge and bedroom. Easy to find, easy check in & great communication from John. On street parking within a close proximity for limited time but that worked well for my stay. Easy access to High Street to shops, Waitrose a short walk away, the high street is lovely with lots of interesting buildings & shops, lovely church nearby too.

Negative: Not a dislike, more an observation; Layout includes Two sets of separate stairs meant a trip to bathroom in middle of night is a bit of a mission, which I was okay with but some may struggle. As anticipated with a property of this age, headroom might also be a challenge. I managed fine at 5ft 5 apart from descending the shower room above kitchen.

Positive: Lovely cottage perfect for 2, nice and warm and very comfy bed. The owner gave us lots of info about parking etc and the check in was really easy with the Lock Box. It was also very nice to be left biscuits and milk in the fridge so we could have tea/coffee in the morning. We enjoyed our stay.

Negative: Check out time was a little early and wouldn’t recommend for those who struggle with steps! But we will come back for sure.
