The Little Luxe Retreat is a completely renovated tiny luxury cabin with a gorgeous ocean view, convenient village location, and many amenities that will make your Oregon Coast stay comfortable, intimate, and an exceptional experience. The Little Luxe Retreat is a completely renovated historic 1947 cabin outfitted in classic upscale style with all modern amenities and a hot tub!
Perfect for friends, lovers, and adventurers, the cabin has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom and sleeps 2 most comfortably, but does have an additional pull out bed in a separate room for additional sleeping. With the cabin being only an hour and a half from Portland, you can easily drive out Scenic Hwy 6 and enjoy overlooking the action and ever-changing waves of Oceanside Beach. The cabin is less than a 3-minute walk to all the pleasures of Oceanside beach and village and just a few minutes’ walk to two top-rated restaurants: the romantic Roseanna’s Café and the delicious and convenient Blue Agate Café.
The bedroom has a luxurious queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The bed is positioned perfectly so you can wake up to ocean views that can be seen through the doorway.
The bathroom is warm and inviting with its heated radiant floors and overhead hot blower. There is a full size step in shower featuring a massaging shower head.
The kitchen is compact, but complete with granite countertop, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, oven, microwave, and is fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans. For those coffee lovers, we offer 3 ways to make your favorite brew: French press, Keurig, and a drip coffeemaker and there is filtered water right from the tap! Off to the side of the kitchen is a washer and dryer that is available for your use.
The living room features a Historic fireplace with a woodstove insert and the house has electric zone heating, so you will always stay comfortable! With all new high-visibility windows and raised ceilings you will be able to take in even more of the breathtaking views of the ocean to the South, West, and Northwest from the living room and dining area. The sofa and loveseat are arranged in front of the fireplace so you can enjoy a crackling fire or curl up on the couch and watch the flat-screen television with Roku and DVD player. The house has Wifi as well, so you can be able to stay connected while you are away. View a gorgeous sunset or a dramatic winter storm, all from the comfort of this warm, cozy living area.
Outside you will find a brand new wraparound deck and gated patio with a private hot tub. The steps are refinished and equipped with a brand new handrail, but keep in mind it is a pretty steep and may not be ideal for those with mobility issues, or young children.
Whether you are coming to the coast for a romantic getaway or wanting to create neat memories with a friend, you will adore the Little Luxe Retreat and the unique and lovely atmosphere it provides. Summary: This house is just perfect for two, especially if you're bringing dogs. The bed is very comfy, the house and kitchen are well-furnished, and the location is stunning. The stairs are quite steep, but as long as you know what to expect there, it's no big deal at all. This was our second time here, and we will be back again!Leah

I would give this place a 5 star rating but the bedroom is quirky: bed is up against a wall and wedged into another wall so that you can’t move from one side of the room to the other.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience at the Little Luxe house and with the Shore Thing staff was top tier. The location near Oceanside Beach was perfect for walking to the ocean. Watching the sea, birds, dogs, and people was entertaining, from both indoors and the deck outside. The house contains comfortable furniture in an elegant, but not fragile, style. Everywhere you looked was relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed walking and lounging around on Oceanside beach, and gathering agates and cool rocks on the Tunnel beach. The Cape Meares lighthouse park is really worth a visit for the views and information about birds and seals and sea lions in the area. We had a great lunch at Fishermans Korner Restaurant on the pier in Garibaldi. We might have spent more time in Tillamook or other towns nearby but mostly wanted to get back to the house and the beach All amenities we needed were there and in great condition. For a small house it had all of the features necessary including dishes and glassware, extra blankets and towels, and bathroom supplies. The house and everything inside were spotlessly clean. It was great to have a hot tub with a view of the ocean!

Summary: Sarah was thoughtful, communicative, attentive, professional and kind. The hot tub looked clean and inviting, but we did not take advantage of it. The bed was very comfortable and the shower water pressure luxurious. Everything you need in a tiny home. Our only complaint, one not in anyone's power to change, is the streetlight directly across the street glaring all night. We were careful to respect turning off the outdoor lights to preserve dark and starry gazing, but the intrusive street light makes a mockery of this. This may be a small matter to you, if so, enjoy this little place so nicely situated with the calming sound of the waves and the beautiful view perched on the hill.

Summary: We loved staying at the beach cottage with our son. It was small but cozy and suited our needs well. We really enjoyed having the hot tub for some morning and evening soaking. The walk to the beach is less than 5 minutes, so was very convenient. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed.

Summary: Oceanside is a great spot but the room had an embedded smell of wet dog. The bedding and mattress felt budget and uncomfortable. The living room furniture was patched together with items that didn’t maximize the space. Wasn’t what we were hoping for after a long day of travel to get there.
