Positive: We liked the location. The restaurant below was a nice perk as was the dive shop next door. Our room was clean and quiet and the decor lovely, expecially the wallpaper. It was nice having a couple of small refrigerators. The beds and furniture were quite comforable.

Negative: The room overlooked a restaurant roof, so there was no view of the shoreline from the living room which would have been obscured anyway by the cloudy window. There were no placemats, coffee filters, or adequate lighting in the living room. Though there were two TV's in the accomodation, they didn't seem to be operable. Three of the bureau drawers in one of the bedroom's were extremely warped and would not close or open properly, though the remaining drawers were functional. There were no placemats for the table and a few napkins would have been nice. No coasters were provided or coffee filters. No instructions provided on how to operate the TV. The bed pillows were huge and uncomforable and the sheets quite worn with a bit of stain as well.

Summary: A clean and nicely decorated room with ideal access to a restaurant and dive shop.

Positive: This is a great location. I really enjoyed the restaurant on property and its location to the restaurants and turtle center.

Negative: There was a LOT of restaurant noise.

Positive: The Cobalt Coast Resort was a good choice. Away from the cruise ship bustle, right on the water with dock for easy access to snorkel, small beach with lounges, no sargassum, and associated with an excellent dive shop (Dive Tech) on site. Room and bathroom were comfortable, spacious, and very clean. Easy to get to from airport by taxi. On site restaurant good but didn't match my tastes. Nothing else nearby though so car or taxi service needed to get to other restaurants or grocery store. The bus service (with A/C) which covers the entire island is actually quite good with access from bus stop less than a half mile away from Cobalt. Thanks to Dragana for knowing my flight was early and having room ready when I arrived before normal check in time.

Negative: On site restaurant was somewhat trendy. One that provided more common fare would have been preferred since there are no other choices nearby.

Summary: The Cobalt Coast Resort provided the perfect base for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Positive: We had room 303 with the top middle balcony. Clean room with vaulted ceiling, plenty of storage and beautiful ocean views. Nice on-site restaurant that opens at 11am however guests can place a breakfast order by 7pm the night before for $21/pp and they will deliver it to your room in the morning. Water was too rough most days to enter by the resort pier so I definitely recommend having a rental car to go to the several nearby beaches with sand entrance like Cemetery beach and Smith’s Barcadere. Overall Cobalt Coast was a wonderful stay, a little gem away from the high tourist area. If I were to make any suggestions they would be to add a small microwave, a shelf in the shower and solar lights for the outdoor stair landings.

Positive: The room was spotless, the resort was beautiful and the beach was pristine. Will definitely return.

Negative: I was aware of this so it wasn't an issue for me - but be aware that the location is far from the tourist hub of 7 mile beach (exactly what I wanted) and Nova is the only food option within walking distance (delicious). Sometimes it is open from 8.30am for breakfast and it is closed all day on Tuesdays so i would recommend you check your dates if this is important to you. Taxis are easy to arrange though. I didn't like the filter coffee machine in my room - I just wanted a kettle and tea bags!
