Negative: When entering cottage strong smell of dogs, fridge door not closing properly.

Summary: Disappointed the local shop was not open, couldn't use oven has it was dirty.

Positive: The log burner made even the wet nights beautiful. Very peaceful. WiFi was a necessity. No signal in most places. Was nice that I could watch Netflix on the night. Full kitchen. Plenty space.

Negative: Had to contact staff to find out how to get key as incorrect instructions were given. Said to go to reception but the key was in a key lock. No instructions given on day as to the code to open it so had to phone staff. Could've done with a better clean (a hair in shower, cobwebs, bread crumbs around toaster, cheese on pizza slice handle). Could do with a lick of paint on the green wall, lots of marks and scuffs. Late check in. 6 hours in-between check out and check in is a little extreme. And with 6 hours to clean, I expected it to be perfectly cleaned.

Summary: Beautiful location, quaint, comfortable cottage.

Positive: Location was amazing, a good centre point for loads of walking and stuff to do. Property is value for money! Facilities and the overall property was gorgeous did not want to leave!!!! Spotlessly clean, comfortable and has everything you need.

Positive: This little characteristic cottage was perfect for us. The bed was very comfortable so I presume a new mattress has replaced the old one (reading previous reviewers opinions). It had everything you could need. Set in the most unbelievably stunning location. Buckden and the Dales is the most beautiful place. A perfect location to give yourself a mental break from the strain of life. After staying here we've decided as a family our dream is to move here. But until that could happen we would most definitely stay at the Coach House Cottage again!

Negative: Not a dislike at all (as being remote adds to the beauty of this place) but next time I'll pack more groceries as the local shops don't have lots of food. So a heads up! (Going to the pub for tea is also an option 😀).

Positive: A lovely, cosy, snug cottage. Perfect for the two of us and our dog. Very quiet, in a stunning location, perfect if you like hillwalking straight from your front door. A great pub right across the road that serves up good beer and delicious food. We'll definitely be back.

Negative: Double bed very uncomfortable (needs new mattress. Shower room/toilet smell of damp but still very nicely decorated.

Positive: Cosy cottage, comfy bed, good shower, quiet location.

Negative: Zero welcome or communication from the owner. No phone reception. The toilet was leaking, but had no reply to my message via Booking.com to resolve the issue. No kindling provided, so could not light the fire and the heating wasn't on, first night was freezing. Day two - the heaters came on and continued to get hotter despite turning down. By day five the cottage was red hot. Anyone thinking of booking need to take fire lighters, kindling, wood, and any other consumables such as extra tea towels, washing up liquid, and loo paper. Most of the above could have been avoided with prior communication on what was needed to be brought to the property. The property itself met my expectations, but the small things let the experience down.
