1 Bedroom Cottage in Oxford

Come stay at the historic Brown farm (circa 1818). The cottage is the farm’s original ice house, but is far from chilly. The cottage has been completely renovated, while saving a few historic details. We recently went solar and have an auto generator, so you can feel good about environmental impact, while never being disturbed by a power outage.
The cottage is best described as a studio apartment. It has a full kitchen, bedroom/living space and full bath (shower only). The bedroom/living space has a queen (medium soft) bed. The cottage is optimal for 2 guests; however, an inflatable twin mattress is available for one additional guest (upon request). Thus we can accommodate only 3 guests.
Guests have access to a heated pool (May15- October 1) and hot tub (year round).
Come enjoy our 14 acre property including our native prairie restoration project. Our stocked pond is there for you to enjoy along with a pond-side fire pit.
We are pet friendly ($20.00 fee), but do not have fencing to contain your furry friends. There are two dog parks close by and our entire property is available for leash walking.
We are less than 2 miles from uptown Oxford and Miami U, and 3 miles from Hueston Woods State Park which offers mountain biking trails, road riding, Acton Lake, hiking trails, horseback riding (summer only), a dog park and great birding. The Hueston Woods Lodge has a nice restaurant that rarely has a long wait.

Summary: Was greeted upon arrival everyone was so nice and helpful!!The pool was so nice along with hotub and shower ! The pond was a blast we caught a few fish in between rain storms lol !! Had zero issues and we will be back again next year thank you for making this place available to enjoy and making our bdays special

Summary: Our family had an incredible weekend in Oxford! This place truly exceeded our expectations! We really enjoyed all of the amazing amenities, especially having access to both a pool and a hot tub. The grounds were stunning and really offered a serene and beautiful environment. Highly recommend for a nice, relaxing stay!

Summary: The cottage is very clean and cute. The property is gorgeous. The pool was the perfect temperature and very clean. It was too hot to use the hot tub. There is a beautiful pond and the area was perfect for an early morning walk. Highly recommend this listing.

Summary: The hosts were very friendly and thoughtful. The property and cottage were very clean and well maintained. The trails were freshly mowed and easy to walk. A storm came through the 2nd evening and we lost power but only for a minute. They are also solar so the generator kicked on automatically and was actually very quiet. The pool was extremely clean and very relaxing. Would highly recommend for a couple get away especially if you have pets since they are pet friendly. It’s located in the country but close enough to town that restaurants deliver!
