Positive: overall it was great value for money and I was very happy with my stay.

Negative: there is one thing that needs to be addressed - secure storage of personal valuables. Japan is a very low crime country, however some photographers like myself simply cannot afford to replace a camera and laptop IF they get stolen. So it would be wise and professional to see some lockers installed before an incident can occur. currently the locks on the bed curtains just simply aren't good enough all it takes is to lift the curtain and our belongings could be taken and furthermore there is no camera in the room so there would be no way to get justice in an event. Not that any occurred in the 28 days I stayed with them however with international travellers passing through and it being a low budget hostel, it's simply a matter of time. remove two toilets and install the lockers is what I would recommend.

Positive: It was affordable on the weekend in Tokyo. Nice grocery store down below. 7min walk to nearest station.

Negative: Not the clesnest. Moldy orange at the entrance. Beds were hard, not secure entry. No lockers. Lights got VERY hot and could definitely be a fire hazard. Other guests were not quiet.
