Positive: That there was a lovely garden with seating as the weather at the beginning of week was perfect for sitting outside in the evening,

Negative: Only slight draw back was that there was no ice box

Positive: Wow - probably the best cottage we've stayed it. You can tell the owners take a huge amount of pride. A little of everything was provided meaning you can just walk in after your journey and begin enjoying all the facilities immediately without have to dash to the shops. The attention to detail is a credit to the owners - even the slightest details. Seriously wrds can't describe how good this cottage is. Perfect location for a walk along the river, a drink & food at the Masons Arms, and dinner at Bollywood Cottage. Looking forward to booking a return stay!

Negative: We only had 2 small issues which I'm sure can be rectified quickly. Firstly the shower struggled to get hot, and when it did reach an acceptable temperature it kept running from warm to cool to warm to cool etc. The water from the hot taps wasn't hot either. Secondly was the log burner's damper didn't work and was stuck fully open, meaning you couldn't control the temp and it burned through logs in minutes. Both issues were manageable and did not detract from our stay. 10.00 departure is a little early for us on a relaxing weekend away. 11.00 would have been more appreciated and appropriate for us.

Summary: Excellent cottage offered from someone who really cares!

Positive: This cottage is wonderfully equipped with everything you need for a home from home experience. For us having enough hooks to hang coats and towels and enough mirrors is a marker of a great property and this had everything. It also had the extra personal touches of decor and ornaments that made it full of character. The host was brilliant in providing information ahead of time. Parking directly outside the front door and a beautiful garden at the back. The heating warms the house in minutes! Plus there is a log burner to enjoy. It is a great base for exploring the wonderful Dales and a highlight for us was watching the Salmon leaping at Stainforth Force!

Negative: The cottage is positioned on the main road through the village with many lorries and cars passing but after our initial concern we never thought about it again and slept through happily in the comfy bed. Don't worry too much about it but enjoy the views at the front over the trees and river and sit in the lovely garden at the back

Summary: Perfect base for Dales exploring in a superbly equipped cottage.

Positive: Everything!! The cottage was absolutely beautiful and so welcoming. It really felt like home from home. We will definitely be back :) Highly recommend the Bollywood Indian a few minutes walk away! By far the best Indian I’ve ever had and the staff were so friendly and happy it made the evening for us.

Negative: I wish there were more bedrooms so we could come back with more of the family.

Positive: The cottage was tastefully and superbly equipped and in a lovely village with a river running through it . It had a beautiful little garden . Everything was very well kept. Our friendly hosts left tea coffee etc and wine and cookies for us, a very welcome bonus and e mailed beforehand with details of the property. The village had everything we needed. Pubs, takeaway , a small supermarket a church and a station.. We would highly recommend this comfortable, lovely property which was very handy to get to different places around the region.

Negative: It was on a busy road but this did not really bother us.

Summary: A lovely cottage, we really enjoyed.
