Summary: We are a group of 39 (30 adults and 9 children) so literally filled every available bed. The place is very impressive and is tastefully decorated to suit its period. Couple of bits of advice: 1 - bring eye masks, several of rooms do not have curtains. 2 - be aware that most e suits do not have toilets, only bidets 3 - the swimming pool is down a slope, about 100m from side of house so pack up a bag before you head down there to hang out! 4 - there is not a great deal of lighting outside, so bring candles or torches if you want to hang out, at night

Summary: A beautiful place to stay. The owners, Lesley and Dominique wew delightful and plied us with eggs from the chickens as well as cakes. We were 23 adults and 6 children. and there was plenty of space to live and enjoy the chateau. We had a fine time

Summary: We rented this chateau to get our family of 25 together for a once in a lifetime holiday, and it really exceded all our expectations! The impecable state of the chateau, the beauty of the interiors and surroundings (each room was more majestic than the other!), and the great service and people behind it were just amazing. We really had the loveliest time, a truly memorable experience we can't recommend enough!!

Summary: Our large family gathering of 17 enjoyed Chateau d'Oche immensely. This beautifully-maintained large property provided enough room for everyone to be close to each other as a family while maintaining a comfortable distance so that it felt like an individual vacation for each smaller group. The chateau was impeccably clean and well-appointed with furniture and linens (fluffy towels and robes were a pleasant surprise considering how thin and scratchy most French linens are in hotels). The majority of the rooms feature separate spacious bathrooms which is a huge plus. There are two kitchens and and multiple fridges so we did not have any issues with room for our groceries. A local bakery was kind enough to deliver baguettes and pastries and D'Oche chickens supplied us with beautiful eggs daily which made the stay even more comfortable and special. The area itself is a bit remote and most attractions and restaurants are over 30 minutes away so if you are into sightseeing, be prepared to drive around on windy local roads a lot. I also want to give special shout-outs to (1) Martin who communicated so well throughout the process and provided so much valuable advice regarding our stay, and (2) Mrs. Leslie who kept us well-stocked on eggs and treated us to so many amazing home-made snacks and pastries. This was definitely a trip my family will remember for a long time.

Summary: Right after our booking on homeaway we were contacted by Martin who is working for the Chateau. Already from the start (without meeting each other) I was surprised on how easygoing the communication was and how helpful Martin and the owners of the Chateau were. Whatever we needed, for example a birthdaycake, it was made sure we could get it and it would be there upon our arrival. The Chateau itself is amazing and every room is even more beautiful than on the pictures. The owners of the Chateau are just amazing! They surprised us (a group of 17!!!) constantly with homemade sweets and even homemade meals. Our group was a group existing out of adults, children and babies and I would recommend the chateau for all ages. Our children enjoyed it a lot and we are definitely thinking of coming back again. Keep up the good work Chateau D’oche!!!
