Summary: We absolutely LOVED it! The house is literally one minute from the beach (maybe 45 seconds...) and it is the perfect spot for a quiet beach vacay. This was the most fully equipped house I've rented, we literally didn't want for anything! It may seem like a really small touch, but it was so nice to have some ice cold filtered water waiting for us in the frig as soon as we walked in the door. Ventura was having a bit of a heat wave when we were there and we were a bit toasty in the house. We knew it didn't have AC, but hadn't even thought that we might need/want it. Luckily the host had multiple fans available that made things comfortable. The backyard is the best! Sitting outside with coffee in the morning and listening to the hummingbirds chatter became part of our daily routine. At night we'd enjoy a glass of wine while watching the stars pop up overhead. Thank you!! It was wonderful and we are looking forward to going back again soon.

Summary: We came in to town for work & house hunting. Kim was awesome about sharing the details we needed to get settled in for our almost 2 week stay. She sent great recs for local food & cocktails as well. The neighborhood is fantastic and neighbors super friendly! The backyard is its own oasis… we opened the back door every night to hear the waves crashing. The beach is a few houses away, and there’s so much you can walk to. The house itself is very comfortable and easy to enjoy. We will stay again; highly recommend!

Summary: This cottage was very comfortable, nicely decorated, clean and roomy. The large bedroom closet was great! The shower needed some work causing the hot water to be used up too quickly. However I sent a note to the host so it should be fixed.
