Summary: Smoke coming up from the lower level, people smoking in the shop below. Thought this was a non smoking unit. Grounds outside are nothing to look at. Not enough furniture for night lounging.

Summary: Situated very near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, ME, this property is perfect for a family or group of vacationers. There are six beds in four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and comfy living room. Although the lodging sits above a former commercial building, the actual rental accommodation is quite nice. Also, be aware that there is no air conditioning.

Summary: This property was conveniently close to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and other area attractions. It was perfect for the six of us with three bedrooms, six beds, two full bathrooms, and a nice kitchen and living area. There was also a deck with a grill. Really, the only downside was a lack of air conditioning, which we could have used during our August visit.

Summary: This place was roomy and close to lot of Acadia attractions. It was also nice to sit outside and watch the boats in the evening.

Summary: If you want to be out of the hustle and bustle but still be in a convenient location to Acadia with beautiful views of the water, this is a great place. It provided great space for our group of five adults. Would stay here again. The house was stuffy and did not have any A/C. This would have been fine but it was hard to get cross breezes going through the house due to the design and some windows not opening and the fans not being very high powered. Hope they upgrade those before we return. As others have mentioned, it's a tricky entrance to find. GPS wants you to turn before the actual narrow drive. Look for the two small wood posts marking the different house numbers on either side of the drive.

Summary: The view has a slice of the water so the pictures might be a bit outdated but the house is really large, updated appliances/ bathrooms etc. Walking distance to water and Peter Trouts which is such a fun local spot with great food.

Summary: This is a nice and spacious house in a great location. There are a few restaurants nearby, including one that is two blocks away. It is about 30 minutes from Bar Harbor and some of the more popular Acadia attractions, like Cadillac Mountain. The views of the boats on the water from the wraparound deck were wonderful. It was a bit difficult to find though; Google Maps told us to turn into a driveway a couple houses before the actual location. Like other reviewers pointed out, there is no A/C. When we stayed the weather was not too hot and the sea breeze kept it comfortable. There are a few fans that also helped but one of the small fans did not work. Our biggest issue was regarding check-in and check-out. The check-in email from the host did not contain any instructions about how to access the key to the house. Fortunately, they were very quick to respond and very helpful when I texted asking for that information. Similarly, I had to text them to ask about what they wanted us to do for check-out (put bedding in the washer, etc.). It would have been nice to get this information in an email ahead of time especially since cell phone service is spotty around Acadia.
