Looking for a quiet place to unwind from the Hustle and Bustle of life? You have come to the perfect spot! Songbird cottage is all about putting your feet up to relax and connecting with the ones you love. Sit out on the private deck facing the woods and listen to the birds ( or watch them at the feeders), and cuddle up in the cozy living room by the Electric Fireplace. Sit around the campfire outside(firewood Provided!) or go into the quaint town of Rockhill Furnace PA and Take a historic, one of a kind train ride at East Broad Top Railroad located just 5 minutes from the cottage. In the summer, soemd the weekend relaxing here after a day out on Raystown Lake(we are a 30 minute drive from Sniders Run boat launch). We have all the basic amenities provides for a relaxing stay, so just bring food for your meals and come enjoy. There is a queen bed in the loft/upstairs area, along with a reading nook and office area. Downstairs is the cozy living room, kitchen and dining area and bathroom. We do not provide Wifi at the momentas we promote connecting with nature and the ones you love at songbird cottage, however there is good cell coverage from most providers.

Summary: We celebrated our 10 year anniversary and rode the steam engine at EBT. We have other plans as well but skipped them to come back to the cottage and watch the birds, chill and enjoy no tv. Thy have everything you need in the kitchen pantry and bathroom which has a great shower head with lots of water pressure. There’s even tooth past. The towels were quality and the bed was nice too. They even had spices and oils for cooking. Loved that they had teas and coffee as well. Just show up and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Summary: I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. I came by myself this trip to spend time on the east broad top railroad and Raytown Lake. From the moment I walked in I was impressed with how clean and comfortable it felt. The property owners have a great little cabin here and I hope to come back. I had a great time and a great stay.

Summary: Great place to unplug. Tons of birds visiting the bird feeders along with a hungry squirrel. You can also spot a few barn cats from theneighborhood.
