Positive: I did not eat at the location on this visit. However, I have eaten here before and the food was good at that time. With the exception of one, the staff were all very pleasant. The view was amazing! This trip was unexpected as I had a funeral to attend. However, I had some work to complete while there. The hotel has accommodations for email and printing access, which was very important to me! The room was spacious with ample space for me to work and relax.

Negative: I did not like the condition of the road leading up to the hotel, as it was riddled with potholes! There are two other issues that concerned me: (1) The door had an issue where it would not close properly without a couple attempts and force. I left out after ensuring that the door was closed and locked, however, when I returned the door was opened! This made me uncomfortable from that point on. Nothing was missing from my room. (2) When I checked in, the ladies at the desk were so pleasant. When they described where my room was, I asked about help with my bag as I have a bad back. The asked one of the maintenance person to assist me and he was very abrupt and in my opinion rude. Even if he was not willing to assist, there was no need to be rude.

Summary: My stay was as relaxing (minus the room door) as possible given the reason for my visit.

Positive: I really liked the views. They were spectacular. The bed was very comfortable.

Negative: First, the bathroom only has a skated door so that made for poor privacy. And, The amount of stairs to climb was very understated. Next, I did not find the staff friendly or helpful. A couple of the bartenders were friendly most of the time. Next, the activities planned were fit for a nursing home all but one night.

Summary: I really had higher hopes for this stay

Positive: Beautiful location.

Negative: Most of the staff was very unfriendly. Be aware that you are renting a timeshare (it's not a hotel), thus you don't have complementary coffee/shampoo/conditioner (only a small package the first day).

Positive: Loved the location and overall architecture of the resort

Negative: Staff was not very Courteous. It took Housekeeping 24 hrs to give clean towels in return of dirty towels,. Towels is a very basic thing and should not be such a big deal to be exchanged or atleast advise the customers to bring them, so we are not scrambling last minute. Overall the staff could definitely be a little more courteous

Positive: The view is definitely wonderful! The staff were pleasant. The roads were super steep as they are on the mountains. The walk is beautiful in the castle and they have a convenience store, pool, restaurant and a great looking lobby. There was an awesome mango tree that had mangoes hanging. Also, you can view the waters from the castle lobby. The pictures on the website are very much like what we saw live too.

Negative: Unfortunately, the last night we were there, we found a roach from the kitchen cabinet and that went unpleasant. Although, we understand it is a tropical place, we didn't leave the front door or the patio door open at any point. Most of the time we were out and when we were back, we cleaned up well. Also, we saw this roach come out from the kitchen cabinet and we figured it may have been in it for a few days. The laundry room had only one washer and dryer and the room was lit very dim.
