Positive: This is a very isolated but unique hotel. Difficult to find staff as the facility covers a large area and most staff we did find, have multiple responsibilities. The room was unique and comfortable, but needed some updating. The restaurant was lovely and the dinner was nice as well. it was a bit expensive for the experience

Negative: condition of then room, lack of clear signage and general organization of the property

Positive: This place epitomises understated luxury. Small private villas with gorgeous views. Incredible detail in beautiful interior and buildings - all in lovely harmony with nature; natural materials at their best, lush vegetation, comfort and calming surroundings. 6km from nearest town so really away from busy living.

Negative: Nothing!

Summary: Just go if you get the chance!

Positive: A very gorgeous and interesting place to stay. Beautifully decorated, stunning interiors with clever and generous lounge areas to chill out. Wonderful spa and pool facilities. The staff were all really lovely, friendly and welcoming. The Marialva area though slightly remote is really worthwhile visiting.

Negative: Nothing

Summary: A stunning place to stay in a stunning part of Portugal. We loved it.

Positive: The design of most of the Casas and the complex, the bock chic barbecue, the very comfortable bedding

Negative: -signage for driving customers was not clear -Our casa was detached from the main complex - the reception was not open and there was no direction on where to find the staff, at least not in English - the lodge was not ready when we arrived(after 6pm) and there were workers so we could neither park our car nor settle in

Summary: Mixed emotions; we could have loved the place if we stayed in another of the Casas
