Positive: Nice, cozy house in the countryside. Stunning views from the terrace. Good place to relax if you need a break from big city life. A small grocery shop just around the corner (appx. 3 min to walk), It has the most important items, and totally the best bread in the Azores! a bigger supermarket in the neighbourhood village (around 40 min to walk). It’s possible to take a bus as well: busstop is very close to the house. Otherwise it is ok with taxi. And thank you for the washing machine - necessary when travelling longer.

Negative: It could have been nice with a better cleaning upon our arrival. Quite high humidity and many insects in the house. Difficult to avoid both due to the house’s location.

Positive: great location if you're into remote

Negative: i think the place is basic, comfy, and nice... but just wrong for me. I had mistakenly assumed there was a restaurant and other villas (maybe i confused it with Lava Homes nearby)... there's no wifi or even decent mobile coverage. No food or service -- so if you arrive on a sunday with shops closed it's trouble. few restaurants and all booked in august. This is a super simple self catering cottage, a bit lost in the hills, with an OK view of the island. A touch unloved (sink didn't drain, towels not super clean, mattress uncomfortable).. but for that value, i think it was OK.

Summary: really basic, good value, no frills
