Summary: It’s a beautiful home overlooking Ponta Delgada. There’s a beautiful pool in back and it’s extremely walkable as you are right in the old area all section of the city. Everything is very comfortable.

Summary: Casa Portuguesa was such a beautiful and elegant building, with lots of beautiful hardwood in the rooms, spacious storage and bathroom, and a private patio with a big french door. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and breakfast was great. We loved the hot tub in the greenhouse and the pool to jump into to cool off! The location is perfect--on the edge of downtown, overlooking a park, just steps from good restaurants but far enough from the busy center to make driving and parking relatively easy. The level of luxury was fantastic, especially at such an affordable price point. We cannot wait to come back and explore more of the island from the comfort of Casa Portuguesa.

Summary: What a unique and wonderful place to stay. Our room was spacious, airy and bright. The staff is great, particularly Diego, who went out of his way to be helpful in a number of ways. Great guy - personable, professional and sincere. The house is close to many restaurants. Easily walkable. The only downside is that parking can be a bit difficult, but not a game changer. I’d stay there again.

Summary: Perfect stay in an indeed very charming place. Rooms and entire location looks newly renovated, for Swiss relations a very decent 4-star hotel in my opinion. Can only recommend.
