Positive: The breakfast was not provided but, everything to prepare a breakfast was provided by Helio. It was beyond our expectations!!!

Negative: There was not one thing we could state as a negative, only the fact that our stay wasn't longer. We do plan on returning to Sao Miguel and this will undoubtedly be our first choice.

Summary: Helio, the host went way beyond what we expected. His preparation was incredible.

Positive: Helio is a very nice guy who knows a lot about the island and is very nice to chat with. He was very handsome when flights were delayed and always made sure we were feeling alright and had everything we needed. He welcomed us with a few local things like bread, juice, and tea, which was super nice because firstly, we got to try everything out. Secondly, we had something to eat even though we arrived in the middle of the night. There are enough free parking spots at the side of the road, and if there aren't, it just takes a few minutes for somebody to leave. Furthermore, the accommodation was extremely clean. We have never seen that before. No humidity, no mold, no dust, and even air-conditioning. We will definitely stay with Helio again when we come back sometime. It was such an amazing time, and he does offer tours by himself.. we did not try them out, but I am sure that he is doing that as perfect as he keeps his accommodation spotless. Positive: Helio was the perfect host and went above and beyond to make sure that my trip and accommodations were perfect! He was always willing to provide advice on what to do and see and answer questions that I had. The space was great - very clean and had all the necessities available. Helio also provided local food and drinks at that apartment on arrival, which was so generous and kind! It was great to get a taste of the city - especially the queijo! He also provides tours and will show hidden gems on the island that may not be as accessible to other visitors. He made the apartment feel like home and ensured that I wouldn't have to worry about a thing while on vacation! I am so glad that I booked and I cannot wait to visit Sao Miguel and stay at this apartment again!

Positive: In A Caminho da Ilha we have felt like at home this week. Hélio goes far and beyond to make sure everything is smooth during your stay. He is always ready to go the extra mile to meet your needs during your every day trip plan. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you may expect and whether you miss anything Hélio will provide you with it in no time. In addition, the beds are very comfy, we have slept like babies. I would strongly recommend this apartment to visiting Sao Miguel island as it is very conveniently located, you will be able to reach the main hotspots in a 30-40 minutes ride.

Positive: Super clean, quiet, well equipped apartment with everything you need including fresh eggs, coffee, bread, biscuits, cheese and many treats in the refrigerator. Walking distance to the centre and street parking available outside the front door. The owner Helio is an outstanding host, eager to ensure his guests are comfortable and have everything at their disposal to fully enjoy their stay. Very responsive to our messages before our stay as well as during our holiday. Helio picked us up at the airport, provided maps, tourist information and recommendations. We spent an exceptional day on his tour, he is very friendly, wonderful company, passionate and knowledgeable about the history, the vegetation, and sights on the island. Highly recommended! Thank you Helio, we look forward to our next trip in the Azores!

Positive: This booking was fantastic, the property is kept in top shame, It had everything we needed and more, it’s close to downtown but in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking out back, The host Helio is amazing and goes out of his way to make sure his guests are taken care of, he’s organized, detailed and knowledgeable about all things guests would be interested in while on the island, i cannot recommend this location and booking with Helio enough!

Positive: When I was looking for a place to stay in Ponta Delgada, all I wanted was a clean accommodation within walking distance from the center ( but not in the actual center). I've got all this and so much more: first and foremost I met the host Mr. Hélio, whose mission is to help as many tourists as possible to discover the beauty of São Miguel island and the Açores, and have the most pleasant stay while doing so. His apartment is equipped not only with necessities but also with "nice to have" items - too many to mention; he will help you with all the info about the island and even offer the tour of stunning places to visit - which are missed by most tourist tours ( like those found via Viator or GetYourGuide). Thank you Mr. Hélio for an unforgettable stay, I will be coming back!
