Summary:
We call it Oasis for good reason: from lovely gardens and a gleaming pool outdoors to modern, breezy furnishings and a bold yet exquisite aesthetic indoors, this home is truly a jewel in the desert. Welcoming, private spaces inspire a deep sense of calm, while the common areas invite everyone to mingle and lounge.
The Space:
Removed from the street by the length of a spacious, 3-car garage, the house sports a big patio surrounded by (and connected with) the living room, dining room, and master bedroom. The patio sports a pool, bbq grill, an outdoor dining room, and a hammock and rocking chairs.
There is also a sun area on a raised dais, that overlooks the patio area. Stocked with plush cushions, it is an excellent place to sunbathe sipping a cool drink or take an afternoon siesta.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to all areas of the house, which include the bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, outdoor patio and garage, and laundry room with a washer and drier. There are air conditioning units in every room of the house.
We take pride in using non-toxic cleaning supplies, providing a healthier and more natural alternative, while being just as effective to synthetic-based conventional cleaners.
We are making efforts towards water conservation in La Paz. We are adopting water-efficient technologies, growing mostly native vegetation in our decorative gardens, promoting responsible water usage, and building urban rainwater capture basins.
Finally, we provide canvas grocery bags you can use in your trips to the local stores, farmer’s and fish markets.
The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood overall is very quiet. The seaside promenade is about a minute’s walk from the house.
Only a block away is our favorite breakfast place, María California. Within the same radius are two great restaurants: La Casita, an excellent place with tasty salads and entrees and a nice patio bar, and Dulce Romero, a hip, organic sandwich shop and bakery. There is also a great butcher shop nearby where you can buy excellent meats in case you want to have a cookout.
Casa Oasis is the perfect place to explore Baja California Sur’s only true Mexican city, set like a pearl in the crown of the Bay of La Paz. Your days can be spent wandering the shops and markets, strolling the Malecón or heading to the islands for scuba diving, snorkeling, or playing with the sea lion cubs.
Getting Around:
From the La Paz airport: You can take a taxi or rent a car.*
To the boardwalk restaurants, bars, downtown and main square where the cathedral and plaza are located, the farmer´s market, municipal market and supermarket: All are at WALKING DISTANCE.
To the outlying beaches: You can drive, or take a taxi, or a tour. If you take a taxi, do not forget to arrange your return or ask him to wait for your.*

Other Things to Note:
Casa Oasis offers a lot of privacy. It is located in the interior of the block, connected to the street by a spacious 2-3 car garage. It is in a very quiet and easygoing neighborhood.
It’s worth mentioning that the next-door neighbors own a pair of roosters, in the vein of a widespread La Paz culture of having chickens in the backyard. You can often hear their crowing at first light, which may wake a light sleeper.

Summary: The house was clean and comfortable, we were very close to our activities for the wedding, the church was 5 minutes from the house and the banquet menu one block from it. Once the pool was cleaned the kids got into it despite being cold. Communication with the host was great. Beautiful beaches are 30 min drive. Totally recommend this house if you are staying in la Paz.

Summary: Stayed in Casa Oasis for two nights while we stayed in La Paz. Property is central (2 blocks to Malecon) and well appointed and clean. Check in and check out was simple. Google maps got us straight to the front door. The host was great and was responsive to requests. Only negative was the lack of a functioning coffee maker which was frustrating. Plenty of options for coffee nearby but as we woke up early for excursions we went without one day. Highly recommend a Malecon walk in the evening, the whale shark experience, the roof top deck/bar of the Baja Club Hotel for sunset (unfortunately no minors), and waking up early to see Balandra Beach.

Summary: This place is truly an oasis. The space is better than the add suggests. It's cool when it's hot outside, it's warm when the evening cools down. There is plenty of lounging space for everyone. My favorite was the pool side elevated bed! I loved the charchol bbq, we had shrimp from the near by market and got some excellent steak from the butcher a short walk away. The casa is close to the boardwalk but the real jems are the small local shops and restaurants besdie and behind the casa. All the local folks in the area were super friendly( including Greg, the neighbor, who you can find out sweeping the sidewalk early in the morning). We all loved this place from our 9yr old daughter to the 70+ yr old grandmas. This place is a true gem.

Summary: Casa Oasis was a wonderful home away from home. It is well stocked, rooms are comfortable and large, and the best part is its location! The block offers SO MANY WONDERFUL RESTAURANTS! La Chata and Maria California were delicious for breakfast and The Oyster House and Fuego & Lina pizza…delicious food! The location is convenient to walking down to the Malecón for sunset and around town. Can’t wait to return!

Summary: This is a very nice location and a nice place to stay while in La Paz. However, we did have some difficulty contacting the host the first day for directions on how to open the door to get in.

Summary: My husband and I chose La Paz for our 25th wedding anniversary because we had a dream to swim with whale sharks- and wanted to get to the Baja coast of Mexico. We were looking for a beautiful property and every one of the El Cirio properties were my first picks and it was tough to decide! We chose Casa Oasis and were not disappointed! Bedrooms, bathrooms, amenities, kitchen- everything at this property is 5 stars! And Ana- the property Manager could not have been better! Anything you need to know, she was there! And she created an amazing guide book for where to go, what restaurants to visit, what beaches and how far away they were- everything! I would recommend renting a car - we drive to lots of beaches, and went to Todo Santos (about an hour away) where the Hotel California is and is a beautiful town- on our way to Cabo San Lucas. The surrounding neighborhood at first isn’t ‘wealthy’- when you first drive there it might seem downtrodden but it was completely safe and the local food and folks are lovely! It was one of the things we loved actually. Our visit was slightly tarnished by Hurricane Norma- flights were originally canceled 😞 , there were National guard everywhere cleaning up, roads were a mess, no whale sharks, and yet we still had a wonderful time! Coming back to our beautiful Oasis was wonderful!! One more tip- no one in Mexico stops at stop signs!! And if someone wants to drive faster than you, just let them pass! Enjoy Casa Oasis if u can!

Summary: I celebrated my 30th birthday with a group of friends in La Paz for the first time. This house is perfection & in a great location. Ana was so responsive with anything we needed. We had an entire binder full of recommendations and anything you need. Everything in the home works well & all the furniture and amenities are top tier. I will definitely be coming back again and again!!! Best stay we could have asked for
