Positive: Loved the house, its gardens and fabulous pool, it was beautiful to stay in and our room modern, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the outside sitting area just outside of our patio door and the extended lounging area in the middle of the garden. It had a guest lounge looking out on the gardens. This is a high tech house. It had a great parking area for the car. Breakfast was a delightful and both my husband and i really enjoyed breakfast every morning. Thank you to our hosts for all the local information, they were always available if you needed them and they were just lovely people and we will definitely stay there again. This home has green credentials and is very eco friendly. The Village of Gois is very pretty, especially the walk along the river, there is a nice cafe right on the river front or in the town for lunch and place to swim or lounge on the grass just after the weir and the walkway to the other side and an open air exercise area just 50 meters away. It was all a delight.

Negative: As I am not very tall I could not reach the shower head and my husband had to lift it down and put it back for me. I would suggest another, 6 inch lower holder to make it easier to use.

Summary: This home is beautiful and once visited, you will visit it again and again.

Their app very helpful and good communication via WhatsApp. Spotlessly clean and well organised accommodation. Lovely pool, nice breakfast. Good location, walking distance to amenities in Gois. Would certainly visit again.

Positive: Herman and Luc are fabulous hosts. Everything has been well thought out and they have created a relaxing atmosphere and a comfortable environment for a great stay in the hills! A lovely breakfast, clean comfortable rooms, beautiful outside space and they could not have been more helpful in advising and recommending day trips, restaurants etc when asked to.

Positive: You want to visit the Coimbra area but not stay in the city? This is the place for you. A pretty, small town retreat where the hosts, Herman and Luc, raise the bar very high for other B&B hosts (anywhere) to try and emulate. You receive a warm greeting upon arrival and they remain impeccable hosts for the entire stay. The pool, the gardens, the renovated rooms, the spacious common room, the breakfast, the gorgeous hilly scenery are outstanding. Eight to ten minute stroll to restaurants in Góis. Herman and Luc take tremendous care in making certain that everything at their place is of the highest standard and that your visit is the best it can be. Highly recommended this place. If there were 11’s, they’d get it.

Positive: Everything was amazing! The hosts were impeccable, amazing chefs and always ready to assist us with everything we needed. The room (and the whole house) was always clean, smelling fresh and just felt really welcoming! Breakfast was one of our favourite parts. Luc and Herman were always around to make sure our bellies were happy with all the homemade products and tasty pastries :) The pool was really warm and super clean at all times, which combined with all the other things, shows how much good care the hosts have with the house!
