2 Bedroom Cottage in Downtown, Beaufort

This lovely South Carolina unit called Sweetgrass, in downtown Beaufort, is on the street level of the carriage house one block from the Beaufort River. It has two bedrooms, one queen bed and one small full bed and one bath (connected to each bedroom), hardwood floors throughout, cable TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Relax on the covered porch and furnished patio surrounded by 100 year old oak trees draped with Spanish moss and lovely gardens.
This carriage house, recently brought back to life after many years of neglect, sits next to our home, Craven House. It truly is the best location in Beaufort, surrounded by stately mansions and rich history, allowing one to walk to restaurants, shops, museums and the waterfront park by the marina. It is an easy drive to Paris Island, the Sands beach in Port Royal and Hunting beach on the ocean.
Linens, including beach towels, are included. Household items/appliances include microwave, Kurig coffee maker, high-definition television, gas range and electric oven, cookware, disposal, fridge, pop-up toaster, internet connection, hairdryer, iron and board, dishes, tea, coffee, toilet paper, paper towels and soap. NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED IN THE UNIT OR ON THE PROPERTY ANYWHERE.
Must be 25 yrs old + to rent. **Children under age 12 are not allowed.

Summary: We will be back next year (3rd time). Do wish it had 2 things: First - cable TV ( Couldn't get much of anything on a new TV and couldn't cast to it, watched my iPad mostly .... No ball games), and 2: a grab bar in the shower for us old people.

Summary: Although we were close enough to everything that we could walk, the area was very quiet. The house was well furnished. Even had bug repellent, beach towels, and sun block, for our drive to Hunting Island. We used the queen bedroom and the bed was very comfy. We will definitely book the Carriage House again.

Summary: We very much enjoyed this property! Perfect location in Beaufort’s historic district…close walking distance to town and waterfront park. This cottage has tasteful decor and furnishings…it’s better than the photos. The owner is a sweet southern lady that is very accommodating and easy to work with. Highly recommend.
