Negative: Just a couple of small things like no shower gel or coffee for the machine which you would expect for the price charged.

Positive: Very close to town..easy to get to many sites ! Brian was easy to get ahold of if needed. I felt like the Lady of the Manor for a week...I would love to come back..

Positive: We were warmly welcomed into the house and greeted with a fantastic array of cake, fruit and biscuits in the kitchen. The cupboards had the key condiments and oils already stocked, meaning that we only had to shop for the basic ingredients. The house is spacious and comfortable, and Brian was the perfect host, swiftly sorting out any minor issues. The location is perfect for visiting Waterford, New Ross or Cork and it is only a 5-10 minute walk into Dungarvan, which has good shopping and restaurants.

Positive: Nice cottage with a lovely garden. I liked the fact that the owners were quick to phone and check on us when a tree was blown down one night and blocked the kitchen door. I also loved the remote controlled fire in the living room, very easy to light after day out in the rain and wind. Always managed to find a parking space outside the cottage. I was glad to have a washer/dryer as there was no heated towel rail so had to dry damp towels half way through our stay.

Negative: The bin in the bathroom was still full from the previous guest and a grubby, wet cleaning cloth had been left on the kitchen table on our arrival. Also the beds had obviously been made in a hurry as the bottom sheet wasn't spread over the mattress properly on one side, never mind tucked in. There was a constant faint smell of turpentine in the bathroom, both my husband and I commented on it. During the night we could hear something scurrying across the ceiling under the thatch... birds? mice? rats? It woke us several nights. The sofas in the lounge where a bit saggy but that's just personal preference, I like to sit on a sofa not sink into it.

Summary: Nice cottage in a very pretty village, no problem with on street parking.
