Positive: I liked the location. We always parked on the English side of the river and crossed the footbridge over the river, which was no problem at all, even in the dark. We chose to park this side purely because it was closer to the family we were visiting. Collection of the key from the pub next door was bizarre but amusing - it was Halloween, everyone in the pub was in costume and there was band playing! All worked fine though.

Summary: A good find! A well stocked and situated little cottage.

Positive: Everything, the property had all the comforts of your own home. Couldn't fault it.

Negative: The stairs are a little bit of a challenge, and you need to take care. Elderly and very young would struggle.

Positive: The location, the space & the cleanliness. The location was absolutely superb with a real pub right next door. Very spacious kitchen, lounge & bedrooms. All very clean & tidy. Well taken care of

Negative: The instructions for gaining access. Lots of do’s & dont’s but maybe that is necessary for some guests! Not the best selection of glasses - a bit like a jumble sale. The owner’s comments in response to guests issues in the maintenance book made us smile but all seemed a bit unnecessary

Positive: The location was good if you like walking , and the pub ! There’s a local shop over the river which stocks all the essentials which is always handy .

Negative: The parking was not guaranteed, so when unloading I had to carry bags from a distance which I didn’t expect . The inside of the cottage was all stone, which was cold, including the floor . The stairs up to the second floor were spiral, high steps and narrow, making it quite difficult for a dog or elderly to walk up . The downstairs outside area was all concrete with steep hills at the back and nowhere to sit . The upstairs had the entrance to the decking area which you got to via very steep , small open steps , again not suitable for dogs or elderly . This led to a decking area for sitting etc. and once again not suitable for dogs or elderly. Consequently there was no area for dogs to go out to , you had to walk outside where there are certainly lovely local walks around . There were lovely waterfalls at the back of the property, so if you like the sound of running water it was superb !!

Summary: Disappointing as it wasn’t the place for me with my dog .

Positive: Location, facilities available in cottage. Was a picture perfect stay with little streams and waterfall in garden. Fantastic, quaint pub next door with friendly staff and great food.

Negative: Nothing. I cannot fault this place. I would definitely book again.
